List Of Adventure Games (Part 2)

Discussion in 'General Game Discussion and Questions' started by PointOfLight, May 5, 2011.

  1. Did I mention the Lost Chapter? Just finished it up. Only really down side is the retro games sections -- the controls nearly made me quit. But otherwise, it's quite different than the usual suspects, and done well.

Is this the one you're talking about: The Lost Chapter?

Yep, that's the one! It was free for a little while.
The devs said they're working on the controls for the retro gaming parts, since others also commented on it. So that's cool. It's an interesting game. Very meta.

The bubbles puzzle is driving me batty. The controls (at least on my iPhone 5) don't feel smooth enough to pull it off.

Edit: And, of course, I got it right after I wrote this.

Edit 2: I completed my walkthrough, if anyone needs help: http://www.appunwrapper.com/2014/12/28/minims-walkthrough/

This thread is a ghost town:) is this indicative of the lack of decent adventure games being released? What's going on with the developers I depend on #

I agree, completely! Where are the adventure games? I'm desperate for something new! I only wish I had the IT aptitude to produce my own!!! Please, developers, give us SOMETHING!

If someone wants to design the game (story, puzzles, etc) I'll figure out how to get it made :D Actually, I'd seriously be interested in that. I don't have lots of time to devote to a project right now, but if things got rolling I'd find the time. (full disclosure: I have a programming background, so "I'll figure out how" just means that I'll have to learn the specifics of getting it onto mobile).

In the mean time, here's a couple that I haven't checked out yet but just ran across:

    ARK 1 Point-And-Click Adventure
AR-K 2 Point And Click Adventure

Has anyone seen that this 2D adventure game came out today? "The Mystery of Haunted Hollow".
Has anyone tried it yet. Would love to hear or see impressions!

We've got a winner here!!! I've played about an hour into this game and love it!!! Here is what I posted, on another forum, about my impressions so far:

Your game is really great so far!! I've only just entered the hospital, but couldn't wait to throw out some accolades!! I have played my fair share of ios Point and Click adventure games and yours, so far, is one of the best!!! This game has stunning visuals, awesome music and sound effects, and intuitive point and click controls. So far it has run smoother than silk on my iPhone 6, no lags or crashes. Very user friendly, with a map of each scene that allows you to move from different areas, without having to back track. The puzzles are challenging, yet logical and not the "throw your phone across the room" frustrating kind. I am truly enjoying this game and don't want it to end!!! Thank you!!

Contradiction by Tim Follin is an awesome point and click murder mystery adventure game with a twist. It's all live footage! There's a gameplay video on the Contradiction forum and I'm sure it's going to blow up any time soon, just as soon as more people hear of it!

Just a little post to say Murder in the Hotel Lisbon is out now on iOS. It's a great gem that was released on Steam last year and oozes personality and charm. It also has GC integration for all you achievement hunters. https://itunes.apple.com/fr/app/id925674340
