I started playing Tales from the Dragon Mountain: The Lair HD, and so far I'm enjoying it. The graphics are still a bit dated, but not nearly as bad as the first one, and while it's still a "trying to save the world" kind of game it doesn't feel as doom & gloom as a lot of the other ones. Also, there are no hidden object scenes! No link for this yet, but I noticed a new chapter in the Awakening series has been released for "big" machines, so hopefully that will be making it's way to iOS devices in the next couple of months.
Wow, I didn't realize they weren't up to date. That's not even the newest one, so you should have another one to look forward to in a few months.
Agree. One of my fav series! I don't recall it being a HOG. It had some hog scenes but was more adventure. Hmmm
I was thinking the same thing. Of course it's been over a week since I've really played anything of substance. I did finally try the free version of Nightmare Land - The Dream Witness last week, and it's actually kind of interesting. I like the layout because it reminds me of old shareware PC games, though it will probably be a bit of a turn-off to modern gamers. My main issue is that I got stuck fairly early on with a lot of inventory and seemingly nothing to do, and the game guide cost $3 (assuming you can even buy it from the free version).
Any thoughts if its worth picking up the 1112 series that are on sale? I've read that the dialogue can be long/boring and its buggy. After reading the mixed reviews at the store I'm not so sure on buying now. Don't mind if its puzzles only as I'm playing Dreamscapes: The Sandman CE and really enjoying it.
I tried playing the first one and never really got into it, but it seemed like there were a few people on this list that really enjoyed the games. If the first one is 99 cents it might be worth at least checking out.
Thanks and don't believe I'd care for the games too much either and after further research I'm passing on all three. My limited time to play on a game I most likely won't like sways me to keep chugging through what I already have. (Actually I really enjoy "chugging" through most of them)
