These games went on sale yesterday, so I don't know how long they'll be free: Horn The Magic Castle HD - Mystery Adventure The iPhone version of Magic Castle is also on sale. As for Horn, I know it's not a traditional adventure game by any means, but I highly suggest you pick it up while it's free because it's a great game.
Couple of recent games: Hallowed Legends: Templar HD - A Hidden Objects Adventure Time Gap: Hidden Object Mystery
Wow, Horn doesn't seem to be your type of game at first glance I downloaded and will give it a try. Lol
New game: Vortex Point. Don't really know anything about it other than it looks like a Sierra style game and it's currently free.
I actually wasn't sure I'd like it at first, but I really enjoyed the other game the developers put out (Dark Meadow), so I thought I'd give Horn a try. I wasn't disappointed at all.
Statue of Liberty - The Lost Symbol - A hidden object Adventure https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id854433399?mt=8
So as shocking as this might be, I actually got around to playing Vortex Point last night. Not much to tell. The game is very short (not more than 10 minutes at most). Thankfully there are a decent number of object puzzles for such a short game, and there are no mini-games or hidden object scenes. There were some translation issues with the dialog, though I don't think they were quite as bad as the iTunes description. The story was okay and there were a couple of amusing parts, but apparently at some point something happened that I completely missed because it changed the whole "karma" of the game. The ending was kind of silly, and overall it's not something I would have been happy if I'd paid for. But, since it's free I'd say check it out for the five minutes of weird puzzle solving that it is.
I'm guessing it wasn't supposed to come out until next week. That certainly makes a certain press release I saw earlier this week make a lot more sense, though...
For those curious about Oceanhorn that haven't wanted to shell out the cash, here's the first chapter for free: Oceanhorn Benchmark Edition.
I know this is an old one, but I somehow missed Darkmoor Manor before. Played it yesterday. Excellent game (except for the weak ending). Highly recommend to anyone who hasn't played it yet.
Episode 2 of Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse hit Mac OS and PC recently so hopefully, the iOS port isn't far behind.
