Interesting assessment. The developer actually feels that it is longer than Tesla, though I'll confess that I don't remember enough about Tesla to offer an opinion of my own in that regards. I do agree with you on the engaging part, which was one of the first comments I made to the developer when I started beta testing. I could never really quite put my finger on it, but I didn't have the same desire to find out what happened to the gods as I did the people in Electric Mist. The graphics look decent enough on my iPad 2 for the most part, though a couple of the scenes did seem a bit blurry. I'm assuming an iPad 2 is not a retina device, though.
I bought that today as well, and the clues are driving me crazy. Why is the writing so tiny? Hard to read on some of them. I do like the lock-picking part. Edit: Finished it. Nice game. Wouldn't mind more from the developer (this looks like their first?).
App- how was cabin escape? I've been waiting for Forever Lost 3. Doesn't cabin escape take place in Forever Lost?
Cabin Escape is pretty cool. It takes place before Forever Lost Part 1 and gives you a bit more insight into the life of Alice. It's basically an escape game done right!
Re: Telescope Hill This game seems really familiar. I can't remember if I've played it already - which seems impossible as it was only released? But the scene and some of the puzzles seem familiar. Anyone else?
OK so some of you have beaten us to the punch but in case you don't already know, Cabin Escape: Alice's Story is now available and as it's free you really should go download it - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cabin-escape-alices-story/id810011347?ls=1&mt=8
New Games: Sacra Terra: Kiss of Death HD Trial of the Demon Hunter Eventide Alice - Behind the mirror (full)
I completed Mount Olympus this AM, and have no hesitation in recommending it. It is not a terribly difficult game, but the excellent variety of puzzles are fun and a pleasure to solve.
It's an adventure game. By "puzzles" he's talking about mini-games that are required to open certain doors and such. It is definitely an adventure game, though.
I am on the fence about Island HD. It mentions collecting food and firewood in the app description on the App Store, so I am not sure if it is some kind of "survival" thing, or is a true adventure with typical adventure type puzzles.
I just spent a little bit of time with it, and my recommendation at this point would be to pass. The game starts up, and after a basically pointless intro you're supposed to do something. The problem is the game doesn't really let you know you're supposed to do something, and worse yet it doesn't tell you how to do anything. It turns out that most of the left side of the screen is a square for walking and most of the right side is a square for turning. Yes, this is a 3D adventure game. I thought the controls from In Fear I Trust were bad, but these make that game seem like a precision affair. Sorry for the minor spoiler here, but you answer your phone and tell someone you'll be somewhere in an hour, and as soon as you leave your house you suddenly find yourself in a cabin that you don't recognize. Once you leave the cabin your point out to yourself that you're in the jungle and that the beach must be somewhere. Of course I'm assuming that's all there is to your thought because the last part of it was cut off on my screen (iPad 2). After wandering around aimlessly for a while I realized that the game apparently had no plans on guiding me where to go or setting any bound to where I couldn't go, or at least not until I got right up to those bounds, so that's when I gave up. You may very well be right about it being more of a "survival" type thing, but I'll leave that for someone else to discover if they feel like it.
