Shockingly enough  this is one of those games that I own but have not gotten around to playing yet. I don't recall there being much discussion about it when it came out, though, or at least not here.

Did I mention I don't get to play nearly as many adventure games as I'd like to? I actually did start this one, but not enough to give an informed opinion on it. The game seemed like it had lots of promise, though.

  4. I've been trying to install this game for the last few hours. I have 2.1 gbs free and it still wouldn't download. It looks really promising, too, especially with the update. I hope I can get it installed.

In order to install a game on an iDevice you have to have twice the amount of space the game requires. According to iTunes the game is 1.46 GB, so you'll need about 3 GB free to install (and given how "flexible" Apple is, I'd say you might want to have 3.5 GB just to be safe).

  6. Doesn't seem to be a hard and fast rule. Sometimes games only need a little bit more than the size listed in the App Store...other times it requires almost double. Turned out after updating to iOS 7.06, I gained more space (that always happens after updates for some reason). With 2.4gb, I was able to install, and it takes up 2.1gb on my phone. Big game, so will have to play it quickly and delete it

Yeah, why stick to a rule when you can confuse people instead :) I've had times where there has easily been more than twice the amount of room and I couldn't get a game to install. Glad you got it working - let us know how it is.

I thought City of Secrets was one of the best original adventure games on iOS. Good puzzles, good graphics, full voice dialogue. It is a tiny bit rough around the edges (I suspect the developers' first language isn't English), but given the quality of the gameplay that's easy to let slide.

Also, it regularly goes on sale for 99c, which is an absolute bargain.

    Cheers.

  9. I've only played a few minutes so far, but very impressed. The characters are charming, some even adorable, the voice acting is superb. If it weren't the first nice day we've had in a long time, I'd spend the day playing this game.

Anyone recall the 1997 PC & PlayStation game Sentient? Always found it fascinating and unique. Wish a company would bring it to iOS. The original publisher folded in the 2000's I believe. Was published by a French company.

Looked it up: Company was bought by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and then later closed.

Does one need to have played and completed both Forever Lost games to understand the plot?

Nope, no prior knowledge is required of the FL games. In fact Cabin Escape actually takes place before the events of those games and is more of a prologue to the story.

Cabin Escape is pretty fun. The name is fairly accurate because it feels more like a fancy escape game then a full blown adventure, but unlike most escape games this one is enjoyable. Definitely worth everyone's time when it comes out.

Thank you for saying so! We wanted to make an Escape game but with the same Glitchness that our other games have, hopefully we've achieved this.

Awesome! Really hope you like it! If you, or anyone else, is interested we now have a newsletter to notify people of game releases on the day they come out - http://www.glitchgames.co.uk/newsletter/

Actually, the game is free unless you want to buy the hints. That means no one here can help anyone else with the game so they feel more inclined to support the developer :)

Just signed up. So is Serenity Engine your adventure game engine? I'm not a Corona developer yet but it's on my list of things to do ;)
