I'm waiting for a "wow" game. I loved the Alice in wonderland. BFG is more of the same. I went back to the escape games for a change of pace. What's everyone else playing???

Eric- congrats on keeping the thread going this long! Great job! It's hard to believe the same peeps (more or less) have been on here for years. I think we should do a holiday secret Santa:) buy a game/app for someone lol

Actually, there were two recent releases from Big Fish that I enjoyed thoroughly, and they were both from the "House of 1000 Doors " series of games. Both were of a decent length, had good puzzles that were fair enough to never require the skip option, and they worked flawlessly. There was a generous amount of bonus content in both games, and I recommend them highly.

Another BFG game, "The Keepers, The Order Last Secrets", although enjoyable, and promising, at first, had bugs in some hidden object scenes that were an issue for myself and a number of other people, and prevented me from finishing the game. I had to arrange for a refund with that one.

Me too. I'm playing Haunted Manor at the moment and am waiting patiently for Mosaika which the devs say should be out very soon.

I'm also replaying cryptic cosmos and looking for another escape game just to tide me over

Sorry if this is a bit of a spoiler for some that haven't made it this far yet, but in Cryptic Cosmos, how do you get past the laser beams in the cave once you get on the planet? If I remember correctly there are 5 altogether, but whatever the number I know at most I've only been able to deactivate all but one of them.

Keeping this thread going is a no-brainer. Adventure games have always been one of the best genres around, and it's nice to see people still take such an interest in it. I just wish I had more time so I could keep the list I started up to date.

This looks interesting: Jack Cubicle. Of course I'm not sure I want to pay $1.99 for 15-30 minutes of game play, and I also wonder if the additional episodes will be free updates, IAP or separate games. Still, this has the potential of being something to remember.

Of course Eric...it took me a while to figure it out and as usual once done its almost a face palm moment.

The trick is to turn off some of the lasers using the switch on the right, then back up and zoom into the left area side of the laser beams where you can tap on the inactive ones to lock them. The laser will click green when you lock them (deactivated), then back up again to zoom into the switch and play around till you turn off the remaining laser. It took me ages to work out you could lock them off on the left side!

Wow, I'm not sure I would have ever thought of that. Pretty creative, though! That's one thing I've always liked about the Cryptic games. I hate getting stumped, but that often means the person designing the puzzles was really thinking outside of the box.

  15. Hey everyone!

Sorry for disappearing and the long delay from posting!

I am so excited to announce the release of our brand new adventure game, Mosaika!

The game has been submitted yesterday to Apple, Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Google Play. It is currently live on Google Play: http://bit.ly/1dO0LlP

I will let you know when it is live everywhere. Time moves soooo slowly while waiting for the review process!

Sorry this game took so long to come out. My wife and I moved to a new state, bought a house and had our first son. It's been a busy year, and it cut into my productivity a bit!

I want to thank you all so much for all of your kind words and support over the years!

    Warm regards,
    Joe

Here is the App Description to whet your appetite while you wait:

The strange feeling you had all day followed you to bed that night.

A sudden crash from the next room wakes you from dreams of magical lands, and sets your heart racing in your chest.

Sitting bolt upright in bed, the strange feeling returns as your eyes adjust to the darkness, focusing on the odd wooden symbols across the mantel of the fireplace. Almost as if something were calling you...

Turning on the lamp, you cautiously get up, moving towards the sound that woke you. This is your uncle's house and though you've been here many times, it suddenly feels very different.

The room is littered with wonderfully strange and interesting artifacts, souvenirs from your uncle's travels, from where he would not say. On the floor lies a small tiled box, broken open. Unfolding the paper nestled within it, you instantly recognize the symbols.

    The fireplace!

Running back into the bedroom, you examine again the symbols on the paper. They match perfectly those in the woodwork of the mantel, but are arranged differently...

Though your hands are shaking with excitement, you work quickly, rearranging the wooden symbols to match the ones on the paper, hearing them click into place easily one after the other, until the pattern is complete.

Suddenly, beams of golden sunlight burst through the opening in the fireplace, cutting through the darkness in the room. Standing back with a gasp, you look through the opening, eyes wide in awe at the beautiful, magical land from your dream on the other side.

With a deep breath, you step through the opening and take your first steps into another world...

    Features:
    • Beautiful hand-painted graphics that draw you into this mesmerizing adventure!
    • Lots of items to collect and puzzles to solve!
    • Original soundtrack and sound effects!
    • A journal that keeps track of all the symbols and clues that you encounter.
    • A dynamic map that shows all of the areas you have explored, as well as your current location.
    • A complete hint system built right into the game.
    • Mosaika has been translated into many languages.
    • Available for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad!

Congrats to you, Joe, for everything. That is awesome news about the pending arrival of your new game, I have been eagerly awaiting it, and it will be an instant buy. Your previous game, "The Lost City" is an all time favourite of mine.
