I thought so too. If I had some spare time I'd probably grab it, but I've got a few other adventure games to work on at the moment. Another one that just came out this week that I think I forgot to mention was Cognition Episode 2. I haven't finished the first one yet, but what I played of it was pretty cool, and I'm looking forward to finishing it and digging into the sequel.
Can't figure out from the description why Natural Threat: Ominous Shores has a paid and free version. Been trying the free one and plays great and see no ads. Only difference is the "W" on the paid version is in gold. Anyone tell what the difference is (I'd gladly pay if there was more content)
In the upper left hand of the menu screen (at least on the iPad) there is an Unlock Full Game button, so I assume that you just won't be able to progress beyond a certain point without paying.
I thought so as well but when the "unlock the full game button" is pressed it states its already bought. There is also a buy button on the bottom and when pressed it won't respond (as if I'd bought it). Oh well, I'll continue and see what transpires but apprehensive on the game suddenly stopping progress and then turn around to repeat levels when I buy the full version. Don't care to purchase iap if I have a choice.
I hear you. If it does turn out that it stops the progress at some point they sure seem to be giving a lot of the game for free. Personally, I would have thought the IAP would have kicked in when the game transitioned from the scientists to the tourists. By the way guys, this is a pretty cool game so far (except for the "find X of the same thing" HoG scenes - those drive me nuts).
Stay away from The Mystery Of The Rider. It doesn't look that great to begin with, but the music is obnoxious and they actually have a timer that you can hear ticking to count down the seconds. Talk about nerve wracking. You can turn off the sound if you want, but that's just plain silly. Plus there doesn't appear to be any story. Overall I'm not impressed at all.
Same here. Wished it'd work and maybe (but doubtful) hint on how to move the tiles that completes the Aztec looking guy. I can get 2/3 of it done and then mess it all up again by trying to place those last 3 top tiles. Argh!
Tales from the Dragon Mountain: the Strix HD will be going free (or has in some areas). Pocket Gamer's Bronze Award Winner! http://appshopper.com/games/tales-from-the-dragon-mountain-the-strix-hd I hadn't played it yet so believe it to be a nice addition for later play.
I actually reviewed this one a while back. It was decent. The graphics are a bit dated and the ending kind of odd, but I had some fun with it. Definitely worth checking out for free.
