Runaway Part 2 and Lego Batman 2. Was going to get the Runaway series on PC but never got round to it. Haven't touched the PC in months. It's too darn slow, turning on, loading. IOS devices really spoil you

The Runaway game on iOS is different than the PC version anyway, isn't it?

I don't know. I really enjoyed Hidden Runaway and presumed Runaway part 1 & 2 would be in the same vein. Our laptop isn't very powerful so would get tutted at for putting more(unnecessary) stuff on it so ipad it has to be

Windows 8 boots in what I had read to be 7 seconds and shuts down in 10 seconds. This ain't your grandma's Windows anymore...

iPadisGreat who will be cannibalizing his retina iPad Mini fund to buy a Windows 8 tablet... ...but fear not for I will still be gaming on my iPad. :)

Oops, can't believe I forgot that one since I already have it. Looks like a pretty interesting game.

I had to pick it up too. Seems to be a cross between The Lost City and Myst. Looking forward to getting into it

So has anyone tried Investigate This: The Scourge of the Scarecrow! yet? If not, I'd say don't bother. I'm all for story, which is why I like adventure games in the first place, but the developers didn't do a good job of balancing story and game play. In fact, I'd say I "played" the game somewhere between 10-15 minutes, and aside from the interactivity of tapping to progress through the story, the only thing I did was run through a couple of mazes. There really wasn't much of an adventure game aspect to the game at all. Maybe it was going to come later, but I decided I didn't want to put any more time into the game to find out. It's a shame really, because the graphics were pretty decent and it seemed like there was going to be an interesting story to be told.

New game: Tipping Point Adventure Game. The developer's background appears to be mostly educational games, but it looks like it could be pretty cool.

I started playing Vanished: The Island. So far I like the story. It's definitely a straight adventure game with some mini-games thrown in, and not a Myst-like game. What I'm not really digging so far is the graphics. It's not that they are bad, but while Unity is no Unreal engine, I've seen much better graphics come out of it than what this game shows. Of course it doesn't help that I'm playing it on an iPad even though it's just an iPhone game, so it's probably not scaling all that well. I also find that the game is not quite responsive to my touches, which might be because it's trying to be a 2D game in a 3D engine. Still, I think it has a lot of potential and I'm looking forward to putting some more time into it.

I'm glad it's not Myst like. Myst was a bit too weird for me although I did finish it(with a bit of help). Have got Vanished on the iPad too and agree with the comments about the graphics. Might try it on the iphone to see if that makes a difference

What iPhone do you have? I've considered doing that myself, but I only have an iPod Touch 4, and lately nothing seems to run on it very well.

IPhone 5 so the graphics should be better. Will give it a go and let you know

Not a great deal of difference tbh. Much prefer it on the bigger screen
