Not a big fan of pets, but this actually looks really good, and since I love the Drawn series I'll have to give it a try.

Fan of the developer here, so I'm really looking forward to this one.

Man, it should have been me... nah, just kidding. Good job on the milestone post, and congrats to all of us for proving that at least a dozen people still like to talk about adventure games :)

I do recall someone posting about this game here in the past, so it must have been you :) Definitely looks cool. I actually thought this one had already come out.

Finished Letters from Nowhere and was really disappointed again with G5E but I've just finished Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden and I was blown away. Just started on Nightmares of the Deep and its going to be another goodie.

I don't understand why some are so bad and some are just amazing

No question that both Abyss and Nightmares are great games (some of the few I've actually taken the time to both finish and play the bonus games for), but why the disdain for Letters From Nowhere? I actually really enjoyed that one.

As for the quality difference, it's mainly due to the fact that they come from different developers. Most places that are basically publishing houses go through the same thing. Look at outlets like Chillingo and Gameloft as some of the best examples.

I guess I like puzzle adventure games more than just basic HOG. They feel more meaty and I can lose myself in them and get immersed in the story

Has anyone had a chance to play Steal and Escape yet. Well put together but I'm stuck near the end. Have contacted developer but no reply as yet. Disgusted with myself for resorting to the walkthrough but it hasn't helped and I still can't finish it

For any sci-fi fans, check out this video: Abducted. Unfortunately I've seen no release date yet other than "some time this summer", and no indication of how recent your iOS device will need to be in order to play it. The game looks pretty awesome, though.

It does look good, but will likely require a newer device to run. I did some testing on Crow for Sunside, and it wanted a much more powerful device than the supported devices listed ( it was almost unplayable on a 3Gs/iPod touch 3 at first). The Radiance engine can do some beautiful games, but it needs a powerful device.

Didn't make the connection there. It's possible I just didn't give Crow enough of a chance, but personally I didn't find it very interesting.

Looks interesting. For those that want a US link: AR-K Chapter 1
