Couple of games: Jules Verne's Mystery of the Nautilus - HD BDB Basically one is an HD (universal) version of an already existing game, and the other is I believe a compilation of three separate already released games.
This is very early on in playing the game but so far I really haven't taken to Year Walk. The graphics and atmosphere are really good, but I'm stuck, my ipod 4g has crashed a lot from the game, and I don't like how the boards are configured. They are in a boring little "maze" of sorts where you go from left to right until they give you a path to move up and then you do the same thing on that next horizontal path. Maybe I'll "get" the game soon, but right now, I'm not liking it. Also, the beginning sequence I'd like to see again since I got distracted with other stuff (i.e., my kids) at the time but I haven't figured out how to start over or get to a menu short of deleting and reinstalling the game. I will update again, given the developer I have a feeling my impressions will change, but right now I'm not really looking forward to playing this game. I will say, another game that had widespread acclaim "superbrothers: sword and sorcery" did nothing for me and I'm stuck and bored with that one as well.
Not convinced with this one. Played a bit of the freebie and its doesn't grab me like previous titles Has anyone tried The Silent Age. It's free and I'm working my way through it now. It's quite good and worth a punt
Tried the demo but wasn't impressed. It's one of Gogii games earlier ones I believe. They've come a long way since. Have been impressed with BFGs latest offerings. Some upcoming ones are: Phenomenon: city of light Ghost towns: the cats of Ulthar CE Time relics :gears of light GHOST hunters: the haunting of mystery mansion
For those wondering, the link for the museum games is: Escape The Museum: The Complete Series Escape The Museum: The Complete Series HD I'm surprised to hear all the lack of love for this series. It's been a while since I played the first one, and while I don't remember it being the best BFG game I've played, I do seem to recall enjoying it.
Musaic Box HD - I know this isn't really an adventure game, but the PC version was published by BFG, so by some twisted logic I decided it was worth posting here. It's been a while since I've played the game, but if I'm remembering correctly it was actually pretty cool, especially if you love music based games.
It has a difficult UI and the touch response needs real help. You can tap what you need many times without it recognizing what you are doing.
I could see where that would certainly make a difference. I played it on the PC, so I didn't run into those issues.
You have to really like hidden object searches to enjoy this game. It has some of the most frustrating searches in any game I've ever played - everything is truly "hidden" and disguised and you keep returning to the same scenes over and over. This game was first released in 2008 and really does feel dated when compared to more recent games. As for Gogii, their past few game releases have been very disappointing.
Wow, a game with Jane Jensen helping out on it has to be good (link to TA release forum): Cognition Episode 1
That looks pretty impressive. It's always nice to see former Sierra VIPs making a comeback. Now if the Space Quest people would just get their new game going...
