Agreed. I only download the extended versions and they aren't too taxing on the brain. Graphics for Jule's Vernes Nautilus aren't the best on the iphone but I have no room on ipad for anything else. Need a bigger ipad.
Unfortunately, nothing there that interests me. Still waiting for an update to Visions of Gold so I can get that series finished. Enjoying the free part of Abyss. I do like the hidden object part where you have to interact with the scene to open objects that aren't visible but I don't know if I will be buying it at the end
The Secret Treasure of Nahala just released in UK. usually don't download games from new developers without reading some reviews but this looked interesting so I just had to do it. Same vein as Grisly Manor I think but time will tell if its any good
Ooh thanks for the heads up. I really enjoyed Nightmares from the Deep. Last game I bought from G5 because I've loved everything from Artifex Mundi. Going right now to App Store. Whoooeeee. Thanks again!
Both Nightmares and Abyss were awesome, Artifex seems like quite a good developer. Time to check out their catalog...
Thank you to everyone for voting, Forever Lost got 2nd place! Happy with that http://jayisgames.com/best-of/2012/mobile/adventure-results/ To celebrate we will be having a 2-day sale from midnight tonight to midnight thursday across all of our games Thank you again, we really appreciate this!
New adventure game for parents and kids by Forever Entertainment (creators of Sparkle and lots of other unusual games): Teddy Floppy Ear - Mountain Adventure Link is to TA forum-if I decide to try the game, I'll report back.
I think I've played all their iPad games except Dark Arcana (looked too creepy) and Haunted Domain (time management game). Some of their earlier ones were distributed by BFG.
A new release from BFG Cruel Games - Red Riding Hood. Don't know if link works but it is for Appshopper http://appshopper.com/games/red-riding-hood-cruel-games
Hey, how's everyone been? I got an iPhone 5, excited to try some games on it. It's so much faster than the iPhone 4! Has anyone tried Cypress Inheritance? Looks interesting, but can't really tell what the gameplay's like.
Would you say Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden has a fair balance of hidden objects vs puzzles within the game? Getting it regardless but would be nice to know before hand. Artifex Mundi puts out some great games and have Dark Arcana as my next one and really enjoyed Nightmares as a recent played one as well.
Depends on what you consider a "fair balance". I like Abyss just like I liked Nightmares of the Deep because it actually leans more towards puzzles and item collection than hidden object scenes. They're still in there, but you won't find them in every scene like you do with some games.
Haven't been playing too much hidden object wise other than Abyss lately, but I did take the time to play through the free portion of this one. I was actually pretty impressed. The evil villain guy looks a bit dorky, but otherwise the graphics are decent and the story is interesting. A bit more hidden object heavy than what I've been used to with G5, but I suppose that's what Big Fish is all about. I'd probably be being this one if my iTunes account wasn't currently on empty, but I certainly enjoyed the free portion.
Fair balance meaning a close equal amount. As for you liking the game I suspected it was more puzzles than hidden object so hence the reasoning behind my question. Anyway, question answered. Appreciated.
