Adventures of Valentin - The Valiant Viking is currently free. If you don't already have it, I highly recommend it. Game play is a lot like Cardboard Castle, and for those that haven't played that one either, it's basically where each room is an overall puzzle usually comprised of a few smaller puzzles. Your main goal in each room is to get past some guards and exit to the next room. It's kind of like a room escape game with other characters and a lot more fun. Terrible explanation, but hopefully you get the idea.
Awesome! That's the level of iPad I have as well - I pretty much have to force myself to use my iPod Touch 4 any more!
That is so true. Once I got my iPad, gaming shifted over. Only use my iPhone for calls, IM, scheduling, memos and to take photos. If the iPad could make calls, I would ditch the iPhone.
Congrats! That's what I have as well. But my iPod touch is only 2nd gen. I use it mostly for checking Yelp (hate the iPad app) and reading ebooks and listening to music while commuting to work.
Looks like all MumboJumbo games are 99 cents right now. Good time to pick up Midnight Mysteries series if you haven't already. They are great games. Not sure how long the sale is on for.
If you liked the Avenue Flo adventure game that splintered off of the Diner Dash game series, it looks like there is a new one out (iPad only, links to the Developer/Publisher Playfirst): Avenue Flo Avenue Flo: Special Delivery I just tried Avenue Flo again, and it is quite fun. More puzzles, with scenery-based HdO portions, but they are minimal. The bulk of the game is puzzles.
I liked the original Avenue Flo, I was just hoping the IAP would go on sale at some point (yeah, I know I'm cheap). I don't think it ever has, though. Speaking of cheap, for those of you understandably nervous about dumping money into Edna & Harvey (granted it was worth the original $6.99 asking price let alone the current $2.99 price tag), here's a just released lite version: Edna & Harvey: The Breakout Lite
Some games: The Dark Hills of Cherai: The Regal Scepter HD Tyke Room Escape 4 Walls 100 Rooms Escape: A Signal from Beyond Assassin Quest Restaurant Escape Mercy Royal The Case of the aMazing Mystery The Case of the Quest in Antiquity Hidden Manor: Haunted Mysteries Escape: The Price of Happiness I think only a couple of these are really new, but I don't know that any of them have been mentioned here before. My apologies if they have. The new BFG game (first on the list) sounds pretty cool.
Guess I'll have to spend some more time with this one. I tried it briefly, got frustrated on the first room (which I now found out that I just missed tapping in one particular spot), and basically gave up. I am a bit disappointed that there are no responses to anything to let you know if you're close to what you are supposed to be doing or not.
Story Quest. The Divided Kingdoms is free today. Looks like a CYOA. I got it when it was on sale for 99 cents, but haven't had the chance to play it yet. Also, Digi-Chain games, maker of the Mystery Lighthouse games, has just released Spooky Manor. They sent me a code for it earlier today, so when I get around to playing it I'll post some impressions for you.
