All the reviews stating that they are going to charge you per connection are scaring me a bit. Have you seen anything like that?
Tried it out last night and every game I launched gave me a message saying that I had to set the game to windowed mode because it can't handle direct screen access. This is on Windows, of course. Basically makes the program useless for me.
I've never heard or seen that. Makes no sense bc I'm using my own network. Eric- did you go on the help forums? I've had zero issues viewing everything. However I use a Mac I did have a connection issue but it was fixed.
It looks like it authenticates through Splashtop first (bought it and tried it yesterday), so that maybe how any charges would be assessed. Regardless, a very cool product, thanks for letting us know about it and the sale!
I saw pple talking about charges but I still don't understand bc I've never given a CC# so I'm not sure how charges occur. Any upcoming sales?
I think they were talking about future plans, post the v2 release, but I had a difficult time understanding it, that is why I asked you. Not much that I've seen on great sales.
New Big Fish release tonight-links to appshopper and impressions tomorrow: Magic Encyclopedia: First Story Magic Encyclopedia: First Story HD Have a great night!
This is an object hunt game co-developed by Alawar and Vendel Games. It occupies the familiar territory of "find the pieces of the object and then use the object to proceed". Hints are limited, albeit in a fashion I have yet to entirely understand ( I often have the issue of tapping the screen right as a game is giving me a vital bit of information). Pieces of objects can be spread across multiple locations, adding a bit of challenge. The graphics look dated and a tad pixelated to me, which makes sense as the iPad download was only 75-some mb, less than a quarter of BFG's usual size. Overall, if you can overlook the graphics it might be worth picking up, personally I am still on the fence.
Omg is anyone playing Yesterday? It's one of the few games that make me really wish I had an iPad. And one of the rare few I feel the need to use headphones. Love the eerie soundtrack!
Yeah, I was trying to play outside and it wasn't working so well since it's such a dark game. But really liking it so far. A lot of trial and error, but doesn't bother me yet.
I love the interface, especially the way your character kind of fades in and out to handle jumping between locations so you don't have to watch them walk everywhere. I also like the use of pop-ups to handle digging into the details of a scene. I thought they did an excellent job of adapting the interface for the iPad.
I noticed the fading in and out as well. Definitely appreciate it. It all runs very smoothly, except occasionally it doesn't realize I'm trying to tap on the magnifying glass to examine something, and instead exits that screen. Minor issue tho. Really love the dark subject matter and overall mood. I still wish I had an iPad for it, tho

Just finished Enigmatis The Ghosts of Maple Creek CE. I really really enjoyed it. I bought it a while ago but only just played now. The graphics were great - I've never seen such clear and crisp HoGs. Intriguing storyline but some might find it a bit disturbing. The music was good and even the voice work was more than decent. Gameplay is long. Definitely worth the price. I didn't realize the same developer (Artifex Mundi) did Time Mysteries Inheritance and Joan Jade both of which I enjoyed. Hope to see more from them on iPad.
Was waiting for the new one to come out on iPad but am really tempted Dark and disturbing is good. Will have to check it out
I've only played through the beginning, just started playing as John Yesterday (you'll know what I mean once you start playing) and so far, I'd say definitely. I hope it's a long game, bc I really don't want it to end. At the same time, there's so much mystery and questions that keep you wanting to play just a little longer so you could find the answers. It does have a sense of humor, too, in case you thought it's all dark and disturbing. And itt kept me from going to bed early last night when I was utterly exhausted! So right now I'd definitely recommend it.
