Just finished Haunted Halls Green Hills sanitarium. Auugghh. It's a cliffhanger. I know there's a sequel but it can't come to iPad soon enough. Though there were mixed reviews on Gamezebo for it. Most people thought the sequel was too short. Nice long gameplay in this one. I didn't have to resort to strategy guide or walkthrough though I did use the hint button quite a bit (more for what to do next than the HOS). Definitely worth $6.99 for the CE, IMHO.
To be honest, while I pay attention to the music when I'm playing, I don't play the games close enough together to remember the soundtrack from one to the next. If I recall correctly the music was pretty good in Haunted Halls, though. I suppose repeating soundtracks would save them some production costs
I remember playing the sequel, but I don't remember much about it or whether or not I finished it, so I'm guessing it wasn't as good. I do remember with the first one that I couldn't wait to come home each night after work and play some before I went to bed. Didn't get that feeling with part two, which was especially a shame since I bought the collector's edition, which I don't normally do. This is all for the PC, mind you.
I know this isn't game related but I have a question. I have two adult 5 day hopper passes for Disneyland dated 1997. I know they are still valid as there is no expiration date on them. I am sure they haven't been used but is there any way of checking without actually going to Florida if there are still 5 days left on them?
Knowing very little about how things work there these days (it's been longer than 1997 since I've been to Disney), I'd wager that you need to check their web site for some sort of support number and then call it. I'd imagine there's a serial number of sorts on the passes, and using that they should be able to track it and tell you what's left on it.
We have rung the UK head office and they confirmed that they are still valid but just told us to take it to the ticket office at any of the parks and they would be able to tell us. Just a long way to go to find out. May look for a US tel no to see if they can help further
Know what you mean. I am sleep deprived for sure because I wanted to finish Green Hills to find out what happened at the end. I may pick up PC version of the sequel. I just cancelled my BFG game club membership so I have a bunch of credits I have to use up in 180 days. With my tendinitis it was just too hard playing games on the PC. The mouse clicking really aggravated it. Of course I waited to get Felix before I cancelled
This might be slightly OT but my sis just sent me this BFG sneak peek cloud gaming It doesn't mention iOS devices.
Nook lololol don't worry about the Nook. I wasn't even aware you could play games on it. It's like a kindle.
Felix is cool! This could be very interesting. I wonder if it will be subscription based or not. There are certainly a whole lot of ramifications as to how it will sync with any games you already have, especially since I have quite an extensive collection of games from them already, both on the PC and iOS.
The nook is what the Kindle Fire was created to compete against (or vice versa, I forget which came first), but the reality is that neither holds a candle to an iPad.
For iPad users....Splashtop is on sale. It's a remote program I use all the time to watch movies on my iPad (stored on my Mac ) or play flash/java games using my macs browser. It's def worth the $2 sale price
They've been ramping up for this for quite a while. From what I know, it will be like the OnLive service, but with just BFG published games of course. They will have to work out the subscription service issue with Apple before it could hit the App Store, of course. Personally I'll be sticking to downloading apps, as issues like changing licenses and disappearing titles will be much more likely with this.
Have any of you played the Jurassic Park releases from TellTale? With the release of the 4 episode, the first is free and the others are on sale for $2.99, but I am not sure on them. I've been a bit through the first and it is an odd hybrid for the few minutes in have played it.
Okay, I just picked this up. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, because if all my PC BFG games run well through this I am going to be extremely happy. I picked up the first episode yesterday when it went free, but haven't had the chance to try it yet. I have heard good things about it, though.
Have you tried it out yet? I play games w no problem and love watching movies that I've downloaded to my computer
I have not had the chance to try it yet, but I'm really eager to do so. I have quite an extensive BFG collection on my PC, so it would be nice to instantly have even more games to play on my iPad
New BFG in Canadian App store: Shattered Minds Masquerade CE Another creepy looking game. Reviews on Gamezebo are pretty good for the most part. Developer is Vast Studios and I would love to support a Canadian company but their other games didn't really grab me - Written Legends Nightmare at Sea (bought, played but never finished) and Cursed Memories secret of Agony Creek (played 10 minutes of demo and decided to buy Haunted Halls). I'll probably try this demo too and see. I would like to hear from others who have played PC version.
