You have seen it before. I reviewed this one back when it was published by Alawar. Really fun game. One of the first hidden object games I played that had a substantial plot to it.
For those in the US, what do you think is the likelihood of a BFG & G5e sale for the holiday next week? I want to pick up some titles, and would hate to get them right before a sale... Thanks in advance.
Happily Ever After is free at the moment. Quite good so far. Simple but has funny comments every now and again. Worth a punt for free
I haven't seen anything in any of the press releases from either of them yet, but that would be cool, especially form BFG. I think I own pretty much everything from G5E that I'd want right now!
G5E are having a sale on Nook(whatever that is). Just seen it ion Facebook. Doesn't mention App Store yet
The Nook is a horrible device for gaming. I've played 3 G5E games on a Nook so far, and I haven't been impressed with any of them. It's not that the games are bad, but the device is so slow and one of the games actually locked up on me a couple of times, which I've never had a G5E game do on an iOS device.
Okay, so here's the deal with the RTMI titles. Chillingo no longer holds the rights to publish the titles. So, some time soon (probably by next week), the Chillingo versions will no longer be available in the App Store. The iPad version of the first game, Return To Mysterious Island - Deluxe Edition, will become universal. That basically means there will be two games left: Return To Mysterious Island - Deluxe Edition Return To Mysterious Island 2 (which apparently has been temporarily removed from the App Store) According to the rep I talked to, RTMI2 and the current Secrets Of The Mysterious Island from Chillingo are the same game. I guess the moral of all this is if you own either of the Chillingo versions, download them now and tuck them away.
Great game! I am playing the bonus content now. It looks to be about a week or so in between Canadian and US release. Every game by ERS Game Studios seems to be a winner but is it my imagination or are their game soundtracks all similar if not the same?
New BFG in Canadian store: Magic Encyclopedia First Story The demo didn't really grab me. I always find it hard not to compare with the current game I'm playing. I know there's no comparing Magic Encyclopedia with Haunted Halls as they are totally different styles. I'll probably give it another chance later. I am really hoping for a big BFG sale which includes Canadian store. I'm going to have to find room for all the games I want to buy.
And Rue Morgue. Though I think Redemption Cemetary Curse of the Raven and Haunted Legends Queen of Spades might have had different soundtracks. I could be wrong.
