Lol I love point and click adventurous games. Thanks for putting all those games together. Also the app "AppNavi" has a lot of free room escape games now!
So despite the poor choice of iTunes description I went ahead and purchased Father Simons so that I could try it and let you guys know what it was like. Apparently they removed it from the App Store right after I bought it or something Guess I'll have to try and clear a few things off my device so I can sync all the new junk I have. I'll keep you posted when I actually get to play it.
The description has now been changed but it still looks good. Has been some bugs described on another thread so I will probably wait until these have been ironed out. I look forward to hearing your thoughts
I'm playing Drawn on iPad (not full version) and am not very impressed. If you don't click "exactly" in the correct spot you are out of luck. I've also done things out of order which seems to mess up things a bit. I think the concept is great but it could use some tweaks. Then again, I am guilty of skipping the video due to lack of patience. I think it could use a "goal" sheet for those that go out of order. Moon- did you try Mystery Trackers? I've played SO many this summer that I can't keep them straight. I try to post here when I finish a game in order to let others know how it was. The beginning of Snark Busters I enjoyed but once I purchased it, it was straight down hill. May want to try that. Also Dr Stanleys house 2 is not bad and it's free!
I got into the safe and need to use the pencil to draw a pic but have no clue what to draw on. I've tried everything including the wall I think the new version needs a hint system

PointOfLight Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2008 4,223 18 38 Programmer Indiana, USA http://www.rustysabre.com #312 PointOfLight, Aug 9, 2011 I've just started playing The Secret Of Father Simons, so consider this "real early first impressions", but I'm not really sure how long I'm going to stick with it at this point, so I thought I'd offer my opinions now. First off, I'm guessing the name of the game is The Secret Of Father Simons, but at least once or twice I've seen the word Fathers (with an S). I get that it's just a typo, but given that it's in the name, that's a pretty glaring typo. That kind of stuff bothers me. So I start the game and I'm presented with a letter from my father written in red, which I can only read about half of because of the font and color choice. I skip that and I'm standing in front of a gate, no explanation of what to do. Thankfully, being a "skilled" adventurer, I tap on the gate and it lets me in. Purpose of the gate scene? Unknown. Now I'm standing in front of the door to the mansion. It's clear that I need a key to get in, though I'm never given any written response to anything in the game so far, except when I pick up an item. Then I get this message that says "hey, you found xxx, but I wonder what you'll do with it" and it proceeds to explain how to use inventory. That's fine the first time, and actually kind of nice, but every time I pick up something? Anyway, the first task is to find a key, which I did simply by tapping everywhere on the screen until it told me I found a key. In hind sight it might have been visible and I just didn't catch it, but I can't seem to find a way to reset the game to test that theory. So I enter the house, and suddenly things go dark. I mean literally, the screen is black. I actually thought maybe the game had and error and stopped working or something. Finally a picture comes up and I'm in what looks like a graveyard, which is really odd given that I just walked through the front door of the mansion. Again no explanation or comments or anything. The game just kind of goes from there. Graphically it's actually pretty nice. I just haven't decided yet whether enjoying the graphics is worth playing the game for. Normally I wouldn't report on a game so early, but I know you guys have been wondering about this one. First of all, my apologies - you are actually in a church, not a mansion. Might have known that if I could have read the initial story better. At any rate, the lack of actual feedback giving me clues as to what to do is driving me nuts. The interface is also not that great. I often have to tap on something several times before it responds, and in at least one case I've been able to pick up the same item more than once. I also am able to select multiple inventory items, though that might be on purpose. Whatever the case, I've already gotten to the point where I don't care what Father Simon's secret is. Too bad, because it looked to be kind of promising. It's a shame because it does look good. I wonder if the original game was better and in a rush to get it submitted after all work was lost if it has just been slapped together. I honestly don't remember if that's how Grisly Manor started or not, but that in itself wasn't an issue for me. I just wish I could have read the actual message. Sorry if I seemed so critical, but even when I'm not officially reviewing something I tend to take a reviewer's stance on it.
