Oh and right now TinTin is taking up too much space. But I stopped playing it when I realized that it's going to completely ruin the movie for me if I keep playing before seeing it. So now I need to see the movie before I can play it
Unfortunately, those issues plagued the full version as well. Once I got over them I did really enjoy the game. Oddly enough, though, I thought those were fixed in the latest round of updates. I wonder if they only updated the full version?
Gravely Silent (came out yesterday or today) is terrific. I actually purchased the full game via in app purchase. I recommended everyone try the free version. I like how there's no convo or long text. It's very interactive, not 100% HOG. A perfect mixture of everything my review may change once I finish but so far, the free part was great.
Dark meadow is 540 mb. I thought I played this or at least got it a long time ago. What's the difference btwn the new one and free one or is this a lite version???
Testing testing (sorry, just seeing if I can manage to stay logged in for more than .00001 seconds.) Edit: Yay it's working again!
The new one is just a lite version. As for the full one, apparently they trimmed it a bit. I was wrong with my 1.1 GB estimation (guess I was thinking of something else), but the version I have installed on my device still weighs in at 811 MB. Maybe I do need to update
I'm just now downloading this so I don't know if it's any good, but you escape folks might like it: PD -prope discoverer-.
Me too, for the most part. Looks gorgeous, btw. Made with Unreal Engine and moved like Epic Citadel or Dream:Scape. The gameplay seems odd, though. I think you just find three cards to open a door.
Speaking of Dream:scape, I tried playing that earlier today. Didn't take long before I was ready to delete it. Graphics were decent enough, but it was too much of an "exploration" and not enough of a "game" for me. Besides, the controls felt a bit clunky.
Yeah, I played a few min of the free version then deleted it. I found it awkward bc I couldn't tell if I was supposed to be able to pick things up, since there was no inventory. And then you walk into things to use objects. Was just weird. They should have added an inventory and ability to tap items if it's going to have you pick things up. Really bizarre that they would make you walk into things instead.
That was the way a lot of the old do it yourself cheapo 3D engines used to handle "inventory". What bugged me was that I kept getting flashbacks from what I assumed was my kid about the key to the farmhouse, but I could never find the key. Then when I went into a barn and there was a ladder that I apparently couldn't climb I decided to give up.
Now that I think about it, it does remind me of those old 3D maze games (that usually made me dizzy). It was always awkward picking things up by walking I to them. (It's been quite a while sice I've played any PC games.) Which is why it's so strange that they would do such a great job on the graphics and then ruin it with that. Especially on a touchscreen!!! God it's so frustrating when app developers forget that they're programming for a touchscreen and just try to mimic a mouse or gamepad.
Absolutely loving this....such a simple game but the scenery is stunning. All in all a very relaxing game. As for Dark Meadow, it appears the free version is exactly the same as the paid version. Which seems to have upset quite a few people on TA. I just can't get over starting in the same place over and over again so I have deleted it as it takes up too much space
I'll definitely have to try out that game over the weekend then. As for Dark Meadow, that's rather discouraging to hear. I was told by a PR person that it was not the same game, and it doesn't seem to make very much sense that they'd do that to themselves. If you pull up the free version in iTunes there is an IAP for a "premium upgrade", so I've got to believe that the free version stops at some point and doesn't offer the full game.
