Actually, I am testing an application that might be of great interest to forum members in the future. Unfortunately, it messes up URLs in forum posts right now. I fixed the link in the original post. Thanks for letting me know. Is Gardenscapes HD the Playrix game? If so it was an unholy blast on the MacBook Pro. I'm going to have to break down for that iPad in the middle of March (after the iPad 3 announcement/release).
Sounds intriguing. Well, okay, doesn't really sound like much of anything at this point, but I guess that's part of the mystery One and the same. I remembered thoroughly enjoying it, I just forgot how much until I started playing it on the iPad again. I really wish they'd make another one with the same basic concept where you're just building up something besides a garden.
Look at Farmscapes, I believe it was similar, if I remember right (MBP again, though). I really like Playrix games--Royal Envoy is a great time management game and is out on iOS now.
I like Playrix games as well. I have most of the Fishdom variants, and I also have both the iPhone and iPad version of Royal Envoy (though I haven't played it yet). As it turns out I also own the PC version of Farmscapes, which apparently I bought a couple of weeks ago from Big Fish Games. I guess I should really start actually playing the games that I buy
I hear you! Between my Steam folder, my PC, MPB and iOS, I've got at lease a decades worth of unplayed games to tackle. Of course, that doesn't stop me from buying new ones when they come out...
Yeah, the only thing that stops me is an empty wallet I haven't gotten addicted to Steam so much, but what kills me is that I buy so much from GOG.com and DotEmu. So not only am I a decade behind in games, all my new purchases are a decade old
I'm not even going to look at those sites. Too many games waiting to be played. Need to get marooned on a desert island ( with a supply of electricity, of course) for a year or two. Even that probably wouldn't be long enough
I hear you. The worst part is they both have sales all the time with games going for $4.99 or less. A lot of them are games that I've wanted to play for some time, so even though I know I'll probably never get around to them they are hard to resist. GOG.com is the site that had the Zork games on sale at one point (which did buy), and recently had the King's Quest and Space Quest bundles on sale (I did resist those, only because I'm pretty sure I already have them in a format that works on modern machines). I also forgot to include Gamer's Gate, which is another site that gets me in trouble with sales.
New Games: Office Insanity - described as an RPG, but looks mostly like a CYOA game. Could be fun for anyone "lucky" enough to have a cubicle job like me. Dracula The Last Sanctuary HD - Universal binary from Microids.
My credit card has bled a bit at GOG, especially when they got the Crusader games from EA. Fortunately for me I am not familiar with DotEmu, so I had better block it on my router before I spend again!!!
Take a look at Redwood Adventure and Dark Myst. Twins! I got Redwood Adventure when it was free and it was worse than bad
I knew I had seen the screenshots from Dark Myst somewhere before, but I couldn't remember where. At least the name is cooler
Strange, Big Fish must have bought Alawar or something bc when you start the new Big Fish game, Alawar flashes across the screen????
They've published Alawar games for a long time. I don't know if the Journey of Hope is a published or purchased situation. Eric called it earlier (I think you did as well), we are not likely ever to know.
You were right, Eric-Apple did not hold back on the release channel today. The only one I didn't see was Kids vs. Goblins, which cannot get here fast enough.
Yeah, I don't think they bought Alawar, because neither site seems to indicate that such a purchase took place. However, since BFG has been publishing Alawar games on the PC (and presumably Mac) for quite some time now, I wonder if there wasn't maybe a little strong-arming going on for BFG to publish Alawar's iOS games. I hear ya. I got a copy of this a couple of weeks ago to review, but I've been holding off because I found out only after I downloaded the game that the copy I had wasn't the final version. I really want to play it, but I don't review pre-final builds. I know it's not adventure game related, but League Of Evil 2 came out either today or yesterday. Assuming it's pretty much like the first it should be quite fun.
Both Midnight Mystery games are on sale for $.99! If you don't have them def grab them. Salem Witch Trials is one of my fav games Samantha swift is also on sale for $.99. @eric isn't this one of your favs?
Funny, I was going to ask if anyone here had played Samantha Swift If I have played it, I know it wasn't on the iOS platform. I'm pretty sure I haven't, though.
