Hey, if anyone decides to go for this please post some thoughts when you get to try it. Personally I gave up on it because (1) there wasn't enough fighting, (2) I never did find any "point and click" elements, and (3) the puzzles were either way too simply or just plain nuts.
I have it on iPhone. Got out of the first set of cells. Onto the second but my sense of direction is not the best. Do you lose health just walking about?
Yes, though it's not as bad as it used to be. In real life I have a terrible sense of direction, but I'm usually pretty good with games. However, I had a really hard time keeping things straight in DotD.
Uh oh, perhaps Eric had better change the name of the thread to "Games for Geezers" or something that better describes our rapid advance to senility. Of course, if I don't get more coffee in me, I'll be doing a really good impression of that anyway...
I'm pretty sure I've already sailed the nutty boat cruise once or twice How about we call it Ailing Adventures?
Guys, I know this is completely not adventure game related, but could one or more of you try and download the game Brave Beak? I'm having the same problem I did with L&O where it asks me to buy even though it's supposed to be a free download. I've been working with a tech from Apple for the past couple of days now, and he's actually been nice and trying to be helpful, but I feel like he keeps making excuses for things, and also like he kind of thinks this is just a problem with me. I'd like to know that other people are still having the same issue. Thanks to anyone that can check it out (especially if it doesn't work for you!)
You don't act a day over 29! The new name really fits my mindset lately, I need a great new game release to see me through it!
Maybe it's just an issue on the U.S. Store then. The thing that really bugs me about the whole situation is that the tech's last suggestion was to simply wait for 72 hours. That's great if a program stays on sale for a week or two, but I've already missed out on 2 or 3 games because they went back to regular price before iTunes would let me download them. Very frustrating.
Thanks, I have. I posted it in the thread a few days before the release. I just saw that Monkey Island 4 is out tonight for the iPhone, maybe I'll give that a shot. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?threadid=122051
Sorry, after a while it's hard to remember who posted what I haven't tried the iOS version of Monkey Island since I own the series for the PC. Of course, I haven't played the PC version yet either
No need to apologize, I have to scroll back through the thread sometimes to make sure of who said what, and to ensure I haven't already posted information. On a separate note, and not adventure-related really, did you see G5E's remaining iOS releases for February? The Treasure Seekers 4, The Island: Castaway, and Virtual City 2. I am salivating over the first and the last, especially.
Yeah, I'm on their press list, so I get to know a little bit ahead of time what they've got coming up I definitely want the first two, though I have to admit I didn't play enough of Virtual City to care about part 2 at this point. I really haven't run across a game from G5E that I didn't care for, though.
