I hear ya. There was no reason for them to respond the way they did. Probably weren't even aware of what titles they published at any point. It's too bad, because the few times I've talked to someone from Alawar they've seemed pretty nice.
The Lost City just went on sale for 99 cents so I snagged it. Haven't even had a chance to play Grisley Manor yet! Should keep me busy over the weekend.
I have thoroughly enjoyed The Lost City. It is very beautiful, it has a unique (at least in my experience) gameplay mechanic that helps to keep things fresh throughout and it has a satisfying amount of content. No story to speak of, just exploration and puzzle-solving, but although I am normally a huge fan of story and dialog in adventure games, I didn't really miss them in this case.
Hi guys! Something new for you - Ashes & Roses - artistic sandbox/adventure game by The Moonwalls Regards, Marcin.
Glad it's not just me that thinks its bigger than Grisly Manor. Was starting to think I was being very dim by not completing it quickly
Folks were saying that? I dunno, I probably spent 4+ hours on it without using the walkthrough. Of course, I didn't constantly hone my skills on all those escape games . But I really didn't feel that the game was light on content.
Just finished the latest IDAC escape game. Not bad but I hope they aren't starting a trend of releasing paid by points games. I look forward to Wednesdays but I'm not paying for them
No. Yeah, but how long did it take you to complete Grisly Manor? If I remember right, that was only a 1 to 2 hour game itself. By the way - and I apologize for talking non-mobile here for a second - GOG.com has put it's King's Quest, Space Quest and Police Quest collections on sale for 4.99 apiece. I figured die hard adventure game fans would be interested in this. Sadly they're broken up a bit (ie the King's Quest series is 3 compilations instead of one) but it's still a great deal for those who want to relive the adventures on modern machines or never got to play them the first time around.
Finishing up Grisly Manor and it occurred to me... All these games with scales that you have to balance out... Why can't you just remove the item from the one side and leave it empty, and therefore balanced?
The App Store is messed up. I've been having this problem with several free games for the past three days now. I don't know what's going on but I hope they get it straightened out, because there were a couple of games I really wanted that are probably going to go back to being paid before I can even grab them. [Edit] I just tried again with SpiderRider Z, which is a game that's supposedly been "free" since yesterday afternoon, and it still asks me if I want to buy and download every time I click on the Free App button.
