Wow, that's real disappointing to hear. I thought Grisly Manor was short as it was (even though it was fun), but sounds like this one is even shorter.
You should know by now not to jump the gun Of course, I was actually planning on buying it until I saw your report. At least you can rest easy knowing you saved someone else from wasting their money
Good luck. Even though people had to actually ask for the codes it still seemed like they were going pretty fast.
I haven't had the chance to play it yet, but I'm really disappointed with how quickly people seem to be getting through it.
Sadly it was pretty short, but it was also good. It sounds like he adopted the same pattern for this one. I was hoping he might have corrected the short part. I was going to suggest grabbing Grisly Manor should it go on sale for 99 cents again, but I just checked and it's currently free! Now would be a great time to grab it The Secret Of Grisly Manor
I wasn't very impressed. I had such high expectations and waited so long.....it reminded me of something BigFish could have put out. Maybe bc I played on the iPad but the graphics were not fab. I loved everything about Grisly Manor from the way it made you think, to the puzzles etc.
I've got to say that I would rather see a short, quality release from a developer like Fire Maple than some of the drek that has been released in the adventure category.
There is a Capcom release tonight that seems to be a puzzle/adventure hybrid. People in the release thread are raving about it and the former DS release (I don't know anything about the game): http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=121331
I would mostly agree with that, but I guess I want the best of both worlds Seriously, though, you're right that it's better to have a short, good game than a long boring one. It just gets kind of frustrating sometimes because you really get into something just to have it all of a sudden end. Never heard of this one before, but assuming it's free when it comes to the US store I'm picking it up based on the graphics alone. Of course I'm sure there's IAP involved but I'll be more than happy to put the free portion through it's paces.
Agree. Just finished XIII and I couldn't wait for it to end. The Lost City just seems to be a quality game compared with that. I'm obviously not as good as you all because it seems to be taking me a long time. Maybe that's because I don't want it to end
Well let's be fair - I haven't played it yet. If anyone is going to be bad at these games it's me Funny you should say that about XIII, though. I actually enjoyed the game from a story perspective. I just thought they did a terrible job with the engine.
Btw, there's a new AppNavi game out, requires points. Working through that, then will look at Grisly Manor before deciding whether to buy Lost City.
