IDAC is annoying. I'm on the last step of having to enter the PW to get the key in the new game. I know the pw is correct but it won't work:(

  3. Did you see all the shapes?

Unfortunately, that's about what I would have expected from them. The sad thing is that Apple probably won't do anything either, because it's not their fault the original company is no longer selling the game. They'd have to be giving back and awful lot of refunds if that were the case.

So I just got the latest newsletter from Telltale Games. On the plus side they announced that Sam & Max were returning to iOS devices on Jan. 26th. Unfortunately it's the start of a different story arc, so I guess there are no plans to complete the Penal Zone on iPad. I'm not really sure if I want to invest my time in the first episode of the Penal Zone now if they're not planning on finishing it. Thankfully I only spent 99 cents on it.

  8. So, looks like bored.com is venturing into the world of IAPs. Saw they had a new Jail game, e3D The Jail Pro, boasting a part 2 blah blah blah. Downloaded it, and there's a 99 cent IAP to unlock the second game. Guess this is what they were busy doing lately. Haven't been impressed with their games for the most part, though, so not paying for it.

You guys have been pretty quiet today! Here are some new ones (sorry if any of these are repeats):

Spirit Of Wandering - The Legend
Spirit Of Wandering - The Legend HD
    Hidden Object: Dream Date
Alabama Smith - Escape From Pompeii
Alabama Smith - Escape From Pompeii HD
    Vampireville: haunted castle adventure
    Vampireville HD: haunted castle adventure
    Redwoods Adventure
    Escape 3D: The Jail Pro
    Escape Game "The Trapped Detective"

Sadly Redwoods Adventure was briefly free, but apparently the developers made a mistake because I was never able to download it while it didn't cost anything.

    [Edit]

    Oops, I forgot:

Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space Ep 1

Apparently Sam & Max even had a short lived cartoon show in 1997. Might have to try and get hold of that some day.

I downloaded Redwoods Adventure. Don't worry you haven't missed anything. Took about 2 minutes to complete

I was afraid of that, given that their other game Fairy Woods was only three screens long. I had almost forgotten about that one. Deleting Redwoods Adventure from my list of games to buy right now!

The Alabama Smith one is another one done by Alawar and rereleased under BFG. Seems all the games will be rebranded

I actually kind of had that suspicion. I wonder if that's going to affect their non-hidden object games as well. I really liked Treasures Of Montezuma 3, and I'd hate to think I wouldn't be able to go back and play that again some day if I wanted to.

I downloaded and played the old snarkbusters just fine so I think you should be ok. I have the Alabama Smith one too so I'm hoping that will play ok too. Think it is IAP so I'm not sure now

Update - downloaded but IAP will not work. Says I have to pay again. Now I know I have played it because achievements are on gamecentre. This stinks and I will never buy another app with IAP

  15. That's too bad. The screens looked promising. Definitely of worth a buck?

Well, if it's as bad as Fairy Woods, which it sounds like it is, then it's not even worth a buck.

  17. Wow, well if all three of you agree on this, I'll save my money :)

Where are all of the good adventure games? I feel like devs aren't putting them out like they have in the past:(

I've only put a couple of minutes into it, but the Spirit of Wandering game is a good mix of HdO and puzzles. It is a G5E game, so quality abounds.

Edit: I spent some time with the lite version of Vampireville, and it seems fun as well. It has the odd looking Nevosoft characters, and wants you to buy hints as IAP, but all-in-all it seems worthwhile. Mostly HdO with some puzzles as well.

Are these new games? I've never heard of them. I'm tired of HO games but if the game has a good plot w puzzles, I would be interested. Thanks for the post:) off to check them out.

Btw The BigFish voodoo game was fun. I only played the lite version bc I'm waiting for the full to go on sale. QUESTION: I didn't delete the lite version off my iPad bc I didn't want to lose my progress. If I buy the "full" version vs the IAP, will the full version recognize my progress or make me start from the beg?

IDAC fans, you can now play some free games on your computer bc they are finally translated into English. Google IDAC and you will find their website w free games. I'm currently playing the capsule and am totally stuck:) I'm using Splashtop (remote desktop app) so I can play on my iPad :D
