I believe there is a search option on the purchased screen (at leas there is on my iPod Touch). Have you tried searching for the game to see if it shows up that way?
Of course! Lol only the big fish one shows up bc I downloaded the free version to see if it was the same
But it's a different game so I can't understand why both don't show up. You purchased the Alawar one so it should be there
Precisely my point. It doesn't show up. Maybe bc it was an IAP? I got it when it first came out. Who knows. So any good games out? I am in tonight w a big snow storm so need a good game
I wish I wouldn't have already bought these for my iPod Touch. On that note, here's some other TellTale iPad games that are currently 99 cents: Puzzle Agent HD Puzzle Agent 2 HD Sam & Max Episode 1: The Penal Zone for iPad Wallace & Gromit The Last Resort for iPad I believe all the iPhone Hector and Puzzle Agent games are on sale as well, but since I already own them I don't see the prices. Of course none of the really new stuff like Law & Order or Jurassic Park are on sale.
Manhattan Requiem is also on sale for 99 cents. I grabbed this last time it was on sale, though sadly have not tried it yet. However, since the going non-sale price seems to be $10.99 you might want to grab it while it's cheap.
Grabbed all of them, and Puzzle Agent! Wonder if Sam and Max and Wallace and Grommit (what a clumsy phrase LOL) are good too? I sure did play them on PC before but since Sam and Max just has episode 1, not sure if it is complete or not or something else.
Sam & Max is the same as the first season of what TellTale released on the PC / Mac, and it is only the first episode of 5. Apparently it was not until Monkey Island that they felt compelled to start releasing more than just the first episode of a season, and so far I've seen no indication that they are planning on going back and releasing the rest of Sam & Max for the iPad. That being said, if you've played the PC version of the TellTale series there's probably no reason to revisit it on the iPad unless you want to play another iPad game. However, if you're referring to the really old LucasArts Sam & Max game, this one is completely different. From the few minutes I've played of the PC version, though, it's equally as humorous.
Thanks for your reply and yes I meant the old LucasArts one. One more game to buy then! Hope they will be releasing the remaining episodes too though!
Anyone play Alice in Labyrinth? It looks promising, but the reviews saying you can't save make me hesitant to buy. Also, I see Gamebook Adventures 5 is on sale. Never played any of these (gasp!) and was thinking of picking it up. But is it mostly reading? Not sure I have the patience for that right now.
I haven't actually played 5 yet (at least I don't think I have), but generally speaking yeah, there's quite a bit of reading involved with all of them. However, I haven't played one yet I didn't like, and I've tried at least 4 of them. Now the latest one, Temple Of The Spider God, has a much better balance between reading and actually making choices than the earliest ones. Overall, though, I'd say if you've got the money, buy it while it's on sale even if you tuck it away for a while before playing it.
Problem is, I'm doing that already with so many games! Hector's gone on sale at least three times since I bought it and I still for the life of me can't make enough room to download it. So easy to spend 99 cents on all these games I may never even get to play lol.
Yeah, you probably should stop doing that Of course, this comes from the guy that has two devices full of games he hasn't played yet, plus a third once I get my iPad filled up
Well this has been an interesting day for games for me. I finally got around to finishing The Passenger, and boy was I surprised when it ended. I know that adventure games can theoretically be harder to write because of the story and all, but people really shouldn't release a game if it's only got a 1/2 hour of play time. It also seemed way too straightforward, except for that one really bizarre puzzle that just felt like it had a random solution. Overall I was kind of disappointed with the game. I also spent a little bit of time with Manhattan Requiem. The plot is your cliched "girl jumps but we don't think it was suicide" plot, but the way they set it up you still want to know what's going on. However, as much as I like story and all, I think they went a bit overboard on this one. So far it's really felt like nothing more than a story that you use some gaudy menus to navigate through. I'm hoping it gets better as I move further into it. Next up is Sam & Max. Just spent a few minutes with this one, but again was I surprised. First off because it actually is nothing like the PC version I remember trying the demo for, which makes me wonder what the demo was that I played. Then there's the fact that the plot sequence is really odd. It makes a movie like Groundhog Day look pretty straightforward. It's also a bit awkward with the controls. However, it's quite humorous, which so far for me has more than made up for any shortcomings. I'm looking forward to delving into this one some more. I also spent a bit more time with Dungeon of the Damned on Friday. I finally found a couple of creatures to fight (the second one which killed me because I was trying to take a picture for a review I'm writing), but so far the pace has remained pretty slow. I'm still not really sure about this one. So anyone had a chance to play anything interesting so far this weekend?
Not me. I got a code for the Two Towers and don't understand the game at all. Lol I'll try again when I have time to really read the directions etc. I think I will go back to Law and Order. I tried Hector 2 but couldn't make it through the tutorial lol I'm really in the mood for a great escape game
Couldn't decide whether I wanted to pick up The Two Towers or not. I like that kind of game, but it does seem like it would be a bit involved. I still need to check out L&O one of these days as well.
Lol I was reading some reviews of different Gamebook Adventures and I just came across one saying how they take you back to a time when we all used to go to "liberies" and bookstores. Just had to share that. Downloading the free version of the first book to see if I like the series. Never been into dice games, so wanted to try it before putting any money into the series.
