Two g5e adventure/puzzle/hidden object games releasing soon (both links are to g5e's site and are for the iphone versions): This week: Letters from Nowhere Next week: Spirit of Wandering - the Legend
A few new games out Haunted Manor by Art Room Games. Hidden object but seems very simple for the price Escape the Car by Apps Apps Apps The Lost Inca Prophecy by Big Fish. Looks to be a match 3 game but does state there are some hidden object elements Also Dungeon of the Damned has dropped in price. Really fancy this one so am going to pick it up New free game on AppNavi
I've played this a little bit, and let me warn you that it starts out pretty slow. I also got stuck quite early on because of something simple that I didn't know I could do. I haven't had a chance to play it yet since I got the solution to my problem from the developer, but so far I haven't fought any monsters and the only "adventure game" style elements have been collecting keys to open doors. I'm assuming it gets better, and I'm not saying you shouldn't check it out, but you might need to hang in a bit before it gets rolling.
Thanks for the heads up. Usually I give up if it doesn't grab me but I will keep up with this one. Now I have the dilemma of starting it or doing the ironing. Tricky one! The latest AppNavi game is one of the best I have played. Very logical and a joy to play
The Lost Inca Prophecy is a pretty good value (I picked it up last night after). It has HdO, match-3 (3 different play mechanics-chain, collapse, and what I'd call Bejewelled for lack of a better term), and a humorous storyline. Free w/$.99 IAP unlock.
I think I played the BigFish game bc it came Out on iPad first. I didn't like it much if it's what I'm thinking of but to each their own can't wait to play the new IDAC game! So did you all determine if one of the above is a must buy?
I saw the video of that game and the fact that they shrink an already small screen down to a little thumbnail is the biggest turnoff for me. Can anyone explain why they would cover 75% (rough estimate) of the screen with the controls?
Probably because they designed the game more for nostalgia's sake than anything. Personally, in the time I've spent playing the game that fact hasn't bothered me one bit. Of course, part of that is probably because I have considered designing similarly laid out games on many an occasion
This is one of those games where I'm like "dammit, I have a knife! I should be able to do everything with that!"
Pepper, I'm doing well, but one thing has me a bit stumped. The puzzle with the different animal pictures. Is it something I should be able to figure out on my own (like some of the others), or is there a clue I'm missing?
Lol.I think that in all the IDAC games You need to figure it out yourself. Very different these puzzles but I liked them. I had to check something on google for this one
Ahh I got it! I had the right idea before, but was wrong about the squid. Knowing you googled it got me doing so and I figured it out. Would have been more helpful if the image reflected it. But otherwise, liking this game a lot!
In case anyone wants some links: Escape The Car Haunted Manor The Lost Inca Prophecy The Lost Inca Prophecy HD Dungeon Of The Damned I could be wrong, but I feel like that Haunted Manor is a re-release. It just seems so familiar. Either way, the whole iTunes description almost makes it appear that you get 1 screen of items to find, which means it's crazy that they are asking $1.99 for it. Sadly, their web site doesn't really provide any more details about it.
