KevinECG a big feature missing from your game that other hero battlers have is the ability to unlock heroes through tokens. Also maybe add a 30 day package that rewards you more than it's worth that's a popular feature in all the hero battlers right now.
So bypass keys and use your tokens to unlock the hero instead? Eventually I am sure you will see some kind of VIP or 30 days system for sure.
KevinECG No it's a both thing say I earned 10 scroll mite tokens before I have it base heroes should be unlockable with tokens if u haven't gotten them through a key. Also you guys seriously gotta give us more energy maybe a few more points per lvl up. It's pretty low right now. Also maybe make the purchasable hero bundles have earlier token earning stages. People are likely to buy your bundles if they can see that they can earn the tokens early on.
I'll admit that I've spent quite a bit in these kinds of games in the last (formerly Heroes of Dragon Age and currently Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes) and while others have a strong pay to win component especially at the higher tiers of pvp, this game is crushing even brand new players under and avalanche of cost! Gold income is almost nil, leading to heroes that are impossible to upgrade in rarity. If you can even afford the tokens which are exorbitantly priced (or drop almost never). Skills are similarly overpriced. All this forces you to grind old levels for... gold? Not really. Character shards? If they drop, you won't have the GOLD to upgrade said characters! Elemental shards for skills? See the above gold issue! Grinding is basically worthless but all you can really do with energy because it's nearly impossible to progress beyond a fairly early wall due to seriously underpowered characters. I won't even bring up energy... yes it runs out WAY too fast but gold is the real bottleneck. 5x the income might start relieving the issues. Maybe. 10x would at least make it possible to actually level teams other than just a single one. Or even upgrade rarity on existing Heroes for that matter.
Yes, I agree. The gold bottleneck is tremendously bad. Given that you use gold to do almost everything, either getting more gold per fight or having some other way consistent way to acquire gold is vital. I also noticed an odd thing concerning the rare hero, Mirror Knight. The cost to rank up a rare hero from Rare 1 to Rare 2 is generally 1,000 gold. Yet, the cost I see to rank up the Mirror Knight from Rare 1 to Rare 2 is 7,000 gold. That is even more than it takes to rank up a very rare character (4,000 gold). I'm hoping that is a bug and that it will eventually be fixed.
I think that he's being treated as an "event" character since that's where I got the tokens for him. Usually hero battlers make event characters harder to level.
Sorry if I missed this but is anyone else having issues with the pets not upgrading the stats they say they're supposed to? My lil goblin chick has real low health and I've equipped her with 3 different pets that all say they buff hp in both the main-buffs and "sub-buff" descriptions but her hp still sits at that low number both in and out of combat.
After playing this game for an hour, I feel like this is an educational example of every pay to win gimmick exemplified in a game. I really wanted to like this game, but setting up explicit payment plans to unlock the specific creatures needed to make your group competitive out of the gate is too much.
Production values are great but the devs needs to look a bit closer at what the Asian counterparts in this genre are doing. The grind in this game becomes apparent way too early and made me leave the game. Most games in this genre that are successful literally shower you with rewards in the beginning so you feel you are progressing super fast. They give you a few easily obtainable powerful heroes since heroes in these games just represent a huge investment (through upgrading). For example, Marvel Future Fight, literally gives you an almost completely maxed out character after finishing the "hero's journey" at the beginning of the game. But that just lets me progress faster towards the late game, where I will still need tons of maxed out characters. Anyway, I gave it a shot, but wasn't for me due to the above reasons.
Agree with everyone on this thread. Want to like this game so much but the gold bottleneck is destroying any hope of seeing progress. Oh, you got shards to upgrade this guy? It's 4,000! Hey, got enough shards to upgrade this cool skill? That's 2,000 gold! Hey, your pet is ready to level up! That's 350 per level! Doesn't work very well when you're just trying to have fun. Plus, the daily events are broken. I must have killed 2,352 wyld, mirror, and red bandits but it's saying I still need to kill a few more on easy to collect the reward -- sigh. No bueno taco. Fix the energy system. Fix the gold issues. Thank you kindly.

Thanks for the post and the feedback. As mentioned we are looking at the energy system and how gold is rewarded. There is an issue with two of the daily goals. Both are fixed for the next update which is for Hallowe'en and should be out next week. Sorry for the inconvenience.
KevinECG upgraded mirror knight how will I get the coins back on that. Also I have to agree a lot of the daily quests aren't working for me either. It's more than two the red bandit quest isn't working either.
I'm done. Too much work and frustration for so incredibly little payout. Maybe I'll revisit if/when the massive gold issue is addressed.
Forced energy, no thank you. If it had IAP to remove energy that is one thing, only offering refills for cost is a deal breaker. I hope the whales are worth it.
We'll add the coin difference back after it is fixed with the update. We have only come across the three. Do you know what others need a look?
Issues I will try to mention points that have not already been talked about. Eventhough i deeply agree with all the posts mentioned above me. -I really miss a decent forum for this game in which certain characters and tactics or other game issues can be discussed categorized in topics. -It should be allowed to see what locked heroes look like and what abilities they have. -The arena system is boring and repeatative. I just auto-play all the rounds to get the maximum amount of boxes, and i start playing myself in the last day to get as high as possible. -I would love to see more bundles including characters of various elemental (Now they are all wyld and fire). I am really glad to see that you are willing to update the game next week and hopefully eliminate the issues with coin and bugs.

The arena is getting a bit of a makeover, the challenge you are after is there. There are all kinds of bundles, they just aren't all available at the same time.
