Personal review update : I wanted to give things a fair chance, like all MMOs things take time to get going... I still think theres a bit too much automation. But I see this game as an "idle" game, ive been playing at work for a few hours in the past days, leaving it on auto a lot. Game is generous with rewards, the feeling of improvement is constant... I think my biggest issue in the first place was to expect a full fledged MMO, this is not it. It really is made as an idle mmo-like rpg, theres constantly stuff to achieve, quests to do, dungeons, etc etc. I think the secret to enjoy this game is to take it lightly, its meant to be a time-waster, on that regard i think its doing a good job in a way. I still think the negatives i pointed out earlier are real, but now that I backed off a bit and tried to take the less in a less serious way i find myself appreciating the light-heartedness of it all. Looking forward to these massive pvp things for sure though
Lineage 2 softlaunched first. Better visuals. But Crusaders of Light has way better game play/mechanics.
Not a fan of this level of automated play. Either I should be playing the game, or the game shouldn't need me to accept quests every minute or so. I haven't played enough to hit any paywalls, and a few others' comments suggest there may not be any (or at least til later). However, looking at systems like PvP Honor in particular, I predict this game is going to suffer _BAD_ from the top players and clans accumulating power and being untouchable. Combine that with all the loot boxes and the amount of materials and adena it takes to level up gear, you've got a formula for pay-2-win.
Oh, also, even with all graphics turned to minimum (where the game doesn't look nearly as impressive and other players don't even seem to load on your screen) and it still crashes every 5-10 minutes on an iPhone 7 plus.
I for one am really digging this game, it scratches just the right itches for me. Deep but not a time sink in the usual MMO way, I can do other things while it cranks away. My clan could use some active players. If you're reading this and looking for a good group, please search for the clan called Texas and help us level up!
It must be your phone, cause Im on a 7 plus, with graphics turned to full, and its crashed once, and Im almost level 60.
I've been playing the hell out of this game the last few days. I normally don't get hooked on these but this one is done really well. Haven't spent anything yet, it's getting tempting though...
If you think of spending a bit I suggest the daily thing, most bang for your buck without spending ridiculous cash. Did not spend anything myself though and im level 52 right now, still very fast progression
Can't we choose the gender of the character we're creating? It also seems very limited in terms of face/hairstyle options.
Netmarble must have spent quite a dime for the braiwashing part. Before the release I had not seen a single commercial, now everytime I try to watch something on youtube a lame Lineage 2 commercial comes up. To the point I am getting nauseated wih Conan OBrian.
