You don't need to use two fingers, just tap and hold near an object and move.

When you get close enough to an object to interact with it, you'll see the boy's arms stretch out towards it. That's when you tap and hold to have him grab onto it. From there, if you keep holding, you can slide your finger a bit to the left/right to push/pull it.

It's also a good idea to play with headphones, or at least with the sound on so you can hear stuff. There is the occasional audio cue that will help you a bit with certain puzzles.

My wife just started playing it, and made it further than the original XBLA demo went. So I'm pretty psyched that she seems to be into it. I do feel like some puzzles require more precision and timing than she's capable of, but we'll see.

Yeah, headphones are a must. I usually don't play games with sound, but this one just called to be played with them on. Glad I did, because there was at least one puzzle where hearing the audio helped.

I'm kicking myself for not playing this game before; it really is amazing! About 75% complete at the moment. I absolutely love the dreary atmosphere in the game -- I almost feel like I'm watching a David Lynch movie (Eraserhead comes to mind). :)

I now own this game on Xbox, iMac, PS Vita, and iOS!! Defo one of my favorite puzzle platformers!! NOW, if Braid will release as a portable, I'll be in 7th heaven!!

How does it work on Retina iPads? I ask because Polish AppStore is filled with one star reviews from Retina iPad users - due to crashing on start of the game.

And second question - is it Retina ready?

Is it impossible for developers to be more specific witht eh requirements? I see this with games like this and Bastion and it saddens me to see so many 1-star reviews.

Works great on my 3rd gen iPad, not a single slow down or crash. Judging from the splash screen, it is not retina ready, but since it is such a grainy/spooky art style you'll never really notice.

    Decade? Century? Aeon?

    All of the above, methinks.

Played this on my 3rd gen iPad, and it stalled several times early on. But it didn't really dampen the gameplay since it's not twitch-based. Also, if you end up dying, the checkpoints are done so well, you never have to repeat much.

Has anyone found all the secret eggs?
I have hard time finding some I already know where they should be....did they changed locations?
Like the chapter 8 one? Or chapter 9?
Some others are where they should be tough.

I was wondering why the there were so many 1 star reviews on the App Store. Then I saw the requirements saying 3GS , iPod touch 3rd gen, 4th gen etc. Now I know it clearly says iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPod touch 5 or newer in the first part of the developers description. Well I guess I wonder why the requirements from apple can't be accurate and match the developers requirements. Then people would have zero excuse to one star it for not being comparable with their device. Because Shirley this isn't a one star game ;)

Plus it would save headaches in the long run- no?

It would be super neato if someone could whip up a guide that gives hints on the locations of the eggs but doesn't flat out tell you where. Some of them I just don't know where to start. Some are just unfair to find (like Guided by Sparks is kind of cheap) and I really need help with, but I still want the feeling of having found them myself (even partially)

There are tons of guides pretty much everywhere on the game. Gamefaqs, etc will all have detailed guides, as the game is no different than its console version.

    Masterpiece.
I know it's a useless post, but... I still haven't the right words to describe how fun/addictive it is. A different game.

I get that. The point is for there to be a not detailed guide that gives hints rather than explaining the solutions. Otherwise getting the achievements is no fun

OK...NOW I fully completed the game with every secret and achievement but the 'one sitting' one (not really interested).
    The secret level was AMAZING.

Amazing game in probably the best port ever.
I daresay the definitive version (I enjoyed it on iPad much more than on XBOX360).
I honestly never thought they could nail down the controls in such a perfect and natural way.
I would never said this two weeks ago...but now please port over Shadow Complex ;)
