If i search the UK app store for 'limbo' nothing appears. I clicked on the link on post 1 of this thread and it then appeared for me so i could buy it.

If i search for 'Limbo game' rather than just 'limbo' it appears ! Shows how bad the app store is at times for finding games. A quality game comes out and it doesnt even appear if you type limbo

Bit annoying. Hope that helps though

Yes its a bit of a pain.

It does say that in the app information so i've started reading the app description first. As the bit of blurb which says 'works on iphone 4....' etc isnt always right. I dont think devs can specifically say 'works on iphone 5 and above, or ipod 5th and above' so thats why you see quite a few apps with NOTE - ONLY WORKS ON 5th GEN..... etc.

When i had an ipod 4th gen this happened to me as well, jumped straight in and bought a game, the description i read later said it wouldnt work yet the app information listed my device.

If you have an iphone 4 or ipod 4th gen always read the description not the 'requires:' bit as that can be wrong.

Apple need to let devs be more specific in the information

Wow! Loved it on 360 but this is the definitive version IMO. Forgot how intense it is

Early? It was? I thought it was released on the day they announced? Or do you mean early as in not on a Thursday? Given that this week's thursday is Fourth of July in the US that is understandable as well - OR the devs said heck we will release when we want to.

The controls are the most beautiful I have ever experienced. It's sad that ONE person did not understand them in the early hours of release and that has colored so many people. They are absolutely glorious controls. Don't change a THING Play dead - hear me? Not one single thing!!

Agreed. So many devs talk about "intuitive" touch controls and then implement anything but.

Limbo on ios feels so natural to play. Nothing feels forced.

After having played this game until about 40% in (rain :)), for a first-time Limbo player like me, this game screams polish.

Fantastic controls, simple yet effective use of the silhouette art-style, great ambient lighting (light and dark depending on your location, or if an event is happening in the background), puzzle element highlights, dynamic sound effects (underwater the background noise are garbled as if you are underwater, the burps, all well done and highlighted). This game is pure WIN.

It's a twisted take on the puzzle-platformer genre, and definitely the best of its kind. It may look like a kid-friendly game, but the elements found in the game definitely sugegsts otherwise.

From what i've seen, I have a feeling this has something to do with Dante's Divine Comedy, but i may be wrong, since im not done with the game yet, but the twisted elements here suggest that it is somehow related.

Since i've read countless times that this has set a standard for the genre, I am aware there have been different variations to this formula and have actually been made countless times on iOS, but never duplicated.

It isnt as long as i expected it to be (i've only played 30-40 minutes so far, but already got in through 40-45% of the game based on the "meter" found in the pause menu), but this game is worth every damn buck i spent on it.

If you have an idevice, this game is a must, and at its price is a damn steal for a game of this quality. Dont let the simplistic art-style fool you, the visual and aural atmosphere will absorb you like water is to a sponge.

HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. It's pretty rare that i use 2 "highlies" in my recommendation, but this one deserves an easy 3rd.

I agree that the controls, so far, appear slick and responsive (and it needs to be).

I also think, though, that it is reasonable to reserve judgment until completion of the game to make an assessment. As I recall, in the later (particularly near the end) parts of the game, there are many sequences in which the timing is EXTREMELY TIGHT, wherein you have to reverse gravity, jump, and hover with precision timing in an very explicit and protracted sequence to make it through (no spoilers here). While the controls are responsive so far, there have been made a few instances in which my up swipes are mistook as side swipes, and side swipe are not registered correctly. In early parts of the game, this is not fatal. But rest assure that the same maneuver will be instantly fatal later in the game. I, therefore, advise caution is making a judgment so early.

Regardless, this is a superb port of the original XBLA original. Must buy.

This was definitely an instabuy! This game was a huge influence for my game (Lucen). It was the reason why I wanted to join the indie game industry ;)

The link doesn't work for Canada. Searching Limbo won't work either but Limbo game does, just saying.
