Almost all people talk about playing it on the iPad, is this game playable on the phone or will it be a cramped experience ?

Slightly less immersive, but only to the extent and for reasons you would expect. Otherwise just as good. Had the game I started on the iPad right there waiting for me thanks to iCloud, without issues.

Flawless controls. I can't believe the amazing job they did with this port. Absolute must buy for anyone who has never played it!

Perfect port, great with headphones and the controls are simple… icloud support works great across devices. Runs awesome on my ipad2, iPad mini and iPhone 5 totally worth the $ even tho like usual it will prob be .99 in a few weeks… must buy!

I certainly hope this keeps it's already bargain bin $5 price tag. It released earlier this month on Vita for $15. Fantastic port of an amazing game.

Tried the game half an hour on iPhone 4S (will try later on iPad).
I already knew the game was amazing (I have it on 360) but I'm happy to report controls are phenomenal...they set probably a new standard on the device.

Basically there is an invisible (perfect) joystick on the screen (the whole screen, no matter if left or right), that support multitouch so you can swipe with the other finger to jump (again, no matter where): I just stick my fingers on the bottom part...so I have the whole screen to enjoy.
To interact with objects, just go near them...the little guy will change posture...keep one finger pressed and move...voila'.
Like...if you want to move a crate...just go near...he will extend his arms...the press the screen and move.

    Simply fantastic.

    Playing iOS games, duh.

This is always a pertinent question, as it also applies to the reverse. Some games I play on my phone that I know would probably be more suited to an iPad.

Anywho, this is my first experience with Limbo, so...

    MUHAHAHA!!! I'M OFF TO DOWNLOAD!!!!!

Well waited till midnight last night, downloaded it. Really pleased, looks great, its very cool you dont see any controls on screen. Would still prefer to touch to jump but its not a huge issue as this game looks so great.

Really looking forward to playing more later, love it when we get an early release like this

Did you read the other posts ? Most people didnt say it had control issues, i bought it last night and i'm loving it. I think 'some' confusion arose because there isnt really any instructions. But the controls in my view work fine

We need to support quality titles like this so we get more and more of them coming to iOS.

There are no controle problems ! Only some people having problem with the controls, and that is not the same thing! Controls are responsive and implemented very well, agreed that they take some getting used to but that does not make them bad controles. I think the general consensus is that the controls work well.

Good on you. There are no control problems. In fact, these are some of the best controls on iOS.

I cant believe i got stuck at a few early screens ! Had to even check the walkthrough on youtube to figure out what to do. Then once i saw it i thought 'damn it was so obvious' !

But loving the game, great to see no control buttons on screen at all. Well worth the money so far

The controls are just so natural! I love how it looks, plays and feels on the ipad and the framerate is also rock solid. I don't know what else I can say without spoiling the eperience. Buy this game now :D

What a great time to own an iPad/iPhone!
First Kotor, then XCOM and now Limbo.

Amazing, some of the all time greatest in their respected genres.

Controls in Limbo is amazing. It's actually perfectly feasible to control the little guy with just one thumb, at least on the iPad.

    Absolutely flawless IMO.

That has been my three most recent purchases and I'm thoroughly enjoying all of them.

But yeah, the controls in Limbo feel spot on, and it looks and feels amazing. It's a bit more challenging than I expected, and that's a good thing. I look forward to playing a bit more tonight.

I remember playing LImbo on my PC, great game. Though I would have liked some puzzles that weren't timed. The last section was probably one of the most difficult sections I've played in a mainstream video game, or maybe it just seemed hard to play on a keyboard?

Great game, and so very mean......protect ya neck!
