Can't wait! Will be the first time I play through it once I can download. I pretty much haven't been playing or downloading anything these days, so I *hope* I can find the time to play this one (have it on my Mac, but sadly I haven't played that).
Yep, Gabrien's right. The controls are flawless. I'd honestly say this is the definitive version of LIMBO. Thank you Playdead (and whoever ported it over) for opting not to desecrate this masterpiece by plastering the screen with virtual controls.
I've never played it before. Can't wait to experience it later. A certain 12 o clocker tonight ! (Waiting up for it)
I have this on the Vita and have yet to play it. I'm wondering if I should experience this on the iPad first or not...
Does anyone remember how long this game is from the original? And I only played the demo but what genre is it? Is it horror? It struck me as that when watching some of the videos.
Is there a control menu like that in the original XBLA version? I seem to recall that the game has multiple difficulty level. Is there such a choice in the iOS version (for achievement)? How do you see what achievements you scored so far?
Really excited for the crew that haven't yet played Limbo. You're gonna love it. The level of immersion is right up there with the classics. It's cool to hear its been done well. If it sells solidly it would be a great to see the indie marketplace bracket of games move across to ios in greater number.
Heh almost same here! I bought it a while ago on Steam for Mac when it was on a sale and never even got around to loading it yet! So I want to buy it for iPad and I know I'll play it then (cannot face to play games sat at my desk after working all day!) Alas the link just takes me to an empty page of Playdead apps... Maybe it's not live in UK yet but should be as it is 4am here now Ah well too tired to appreciate it now anyway... There's always tomorrow!
Hmm... The game does not pick up immediately when you left over. Instead, it returns to the nearest previous checkpoint, which can be quite far away and is often before a major puzzle which you will need to redo.
No different in the console versions either. It's just a design of the game... Personally it is not a needed change to add to the iOS version IMO as the check points are adequately spaced enough.
This game is crazy awesome. I had it on my Mad and barely played because of Torchlight which I got at the same time, and the controls are great on the iPad.
