I really hope that Playdead's audaciousness by not implementing a tutorial does not affect Limbo's reviews on the AppStore. I think it helps immerse the player in the otherworldly nature of the game, when at first they're not too sure what to do. But I'm sure the plethora of instant-gratification hungry iUsers will beg to differ...
Like I said, I really hope it doesn't affect the reviews, but so many people will delete an app very quickly (especially if it is free/cheap) if they do not "get it" straight away. It's sad. Limbo is a work of art.
I think my issue with the Control System, at least for like the first half Hour, won`t really hold anyone back from buying it. As you have already pointed out Limbo is an Experiance and to sum it up the Game itself is indeed a worthy one since after figure out how to use anything in the Game i did enjoyed playing it.
Hhhmm, maybe the tutorial is the app guide??Maybe that's why they created it??Anyway phew..I was a bit worried there,hehe...
I would be an asshole if I wouldn`t record a bit of Gameplay and put it Online and the Team at Playdead have deserved better then that so I have smashed the first Recording and created a second One. Currently I`m cutting it to like 30. Minutes of Gameplay to don`t spoil to much...
Only iPhone 4 and iPad 1 here, am I out of luck? The OP requirements seem contradictory in this matter... Sad that my first gen iPad has been left in the dust. Need to convince the wife we need to upgrade
hahahahaha...Sanuku's first epic fail!!! You're the man!! happy to hear that all it's ok, now there's no doubt about what to do!
