Jeezz... Can't a guy not like a game anymore?

Look at it this way: would you rather have a game reviewer that thinks "I don't like this' but writes "I do like this" because he thinks he's gonna get mauled by gamers? Because that kind of behaviour is what turned all console gaming press into sheep.

So yes, the guy didn't like it. And no, I don't agree (I love it, REALLY love it). But I equally appreciate the fact that a TA writer can just come out and say: "I DON'T LIKE LIMBO". That, to me, is the proof that TA is still on the right track of doing honest reviews. Because honest is what YOU (the reviewer) thinks. Not what the buzz is, or matching your opinion with the consensus of other websites.

@ Eli. Man, I feel for you. I once headed up a games magazine that gave Gran Turismo 4 a 79% and got guys with torches and pitchforks chasing me. Stick your ground. Because within later, when TA is a distant memory (like being a game journalist is to me), you'll be happy you did.

Finished this tonight for the first time ever. I didn't use a guide either. The puzzles weren't bad at all and rarely did I feel frustrated. I want to play it again and have a perfect (or near perfect) run. I think I coud do it.

This was one of the coolest platform puzzlers that I've played. I'd put it above classic Prince of Persia (not talking ios specific), Out of this World (Another World), and many other games I love in the genre. Sublime. Easily a 5/5 game and experience.

I change my opinion about the controls. After few days play this game on my ipad on and off, i can say that this is the best controls layout ive ever seen on a platformer(touch device). So if last time i gave it a 4.5/5 , now it becomes a solid 5/5 for me.

Interesting. My only issue with the controls was I had I never played the game before on other platforms so I had no idea what the controls were and what was possible. Once I figured it out (with the boat part), I was good to go for the whole game. I had no real issue with precision jumps or anything. These were definitely some of the best platform controls on ios.

I played through the game on the 360 as well as the iOS version. Completed the secret level on the iOS version only though, and if someone had told me it was accomplishable on a touch screen without once getting frustrated with the actual controls I would have called them mad. Seriously, Limbo iOS controls have basically spoiled me for just about every other similar title.

    Can't Wait!

Played this game back on the 360 and loved it, looking forward to being able to carry it around wherever I go in my pocket.

Been hovering over this one lately.....not the biggest fan of puzzles so hopefully a sale comes soon so I can see what the hype is about

Or, you could pay the asking price of the game, increasing the chances of getting more great ports like this on our platform in the future?
If we all waited for sales, the developers wouldn't port games like this at all.
They've got to eat too, you know... :)

How people can be on the fence about this game (and its low price) is amazing

Point being I don't want to pay the full price for a game Im not sure I'd enjoy.....me waiting for a sale isn't going to hurt your chances of getting other ports considering the high amount that have come out lately. Devs have to eat yes.....would u rather me not but the game at all or buy it discounted and at least give them something? Wouldn't me purchasing it on a sale actually help? I get confused by this logic.....I already said puzzles games aren't usually my genre of choice and my boy reason for checking it out is all the hype....I'm sorry hype is not worth 5 dollars to me

This is the logic that kills me.. I already said I'm not a fan of the genre so the fact that limbo may even get a buck or 2 shouldn't be a problem....would you rather them get nothing?

The asking price isn't worth th hype to me....the only reason I'm on the fence is to see what the hype is a about. I just bought Star Wars on sale....will my discounted purchase hurt the chance of the 2nd being ported or maybe just by adding a few bucks to the revenue stream I could actually be helping you get more ports....it's either some or nothing so ill wait and see if limbo wants my money or not

Just finished it, amazing game. Have to admit I had to Google 3 of the puzzles but I'm ok with that! Was slightly worried about the controls but they worked really well. Definitely recommend this one.

Don't let it get to you. $5 is a fair price for the game, but if it's not a genre you are interested (the platform puzzler) then it's easy to pass on it and wait for a sale if one ever comes. Playing games you aren't interested in just to be a member of the in crowd or whatever is silly. Buy what you LOVE in gaming and shrug off anyone that doesn't understand your lack of value for genre and games they love.

I sometimes get the urge to buy a rally racing game, but I keep resisting because I have never enjoyed one of those games (and I've tried many including some of the most well loved games in that genre). I'm purely an arcade racing fan. So outside of $Free/Lite/Demo, I probably won't give any Rally game (no matter the hype) a chance. Limbo just happens to be at the pinnacle of quality for it's genre. For fans of this stuff, man this game is heavenly.

Hey that's not bad at all. A few of them had me scratching my head for more than a few deaths... but I just kept plugging away at em until the lightbulb came on in my brain.
