Erm, the game has already appeared in the UK AppStore! Thought it was coming out tomorrow? What with this and Rayman coming out today it's like Christmas come early!
Listed as available for iTouch 4G, though I don't know how well it'll run. Still, I'm downloading it right now if anyone's waiting for a poor last-generation owner to TOFTT. And yes, speaking of Torchlight II, I have to finish a review of that by this evening (18 hours in to my review code), on top of having Demon's Score (which I do like, despite having some severe problems with it), Rayman JR, Lili (if it's playable), and still not having finished Drakerider or Blast-A-Way plus at least four or five others from the past couple of weeks. God, I love mobile gaming. EDIT: Sadly, not so much in this case: crashes before the company logo finishes on an iTouch 4G, every time so far. Freed up space, rebooted etc., nothing. Not bitching - as a flagship title for the new iPhone I wasn't expecting it to work on anything short of a 4S, I just thought I'd give it a shot since it wasn't explicitly locked out. One more reason to sign up for an iPhone 5 when my current contract runs out in a couple of months, I guess.
That's a bummer. And I haven't even finished downloading it yet! I wasn't expecting it to run on iPod but if it says it should in the blurb they should really make sure it does work, even if it means scaled down graphics. I'll let you know how I fare but I expect I'll have the same problem....
There's an update in the appstore that just appeared and it seems to fix a few memory issues. Maybe it'll work now on the ipod touch?
Nope: 8 GB iTouch 4G is still a no go, sadly. Well, I know people have had very different results with different models of the thing, so maybe someone will get lucky, but looks like it's another title to put aside until November/December for me.
Nice to see this one's out early. I'm guessing I should hold off downloading this to my 4th gen. iPod though?
