Yes, the more cannons you have and the larger ship size you have increases your chance at winning the battles.
This could be coming in an update, I agree push notifications would be super handy. Our team is watching and reading this!
I see lot of ppls are posting email address here. It is pretty unsafe to post in public as there are lot of web spiders to collect emails this way. Make sure your address is solely for gaming purpose or you will start to see ton of spam emails heading your way.

Are you referring to when you send your crew out on jobs? I've had the odd one pop up where the time doesn't register with status on the job...it's always corrected itself shortly after. Can you provide me with more details so that we may look into it?
IUGO, not sure if you are taking suggestions for updates, but I thought of a few cool ship themes: -A luxury cruise liner ala Titanic -8 bit ship inspired by the Bowser kid's airships in Super Mario 3 -Candyland/Gingerbread boat -Naval ship
Few more that came to mind -A rich looking yacht -The SS minnow style boat from Gilligan's Island -A marine biologist's boat
Yeah I know what you are saying. Thankfully I spent 10 minutes and made an email just for these type of things. So that is the one I use for this game while my personal is left untouched. [email protected]

how about some mini games that aren't based on crew mates,for those times when all your crew are out doing long quests?that's when i feel like things slow down or get boring because you cant always have a pirate battle or help neighbors. other then that i think everything is just about perfect!
