Quick question, my friend suggested I check this out but I worried where it is a Freemium title is it pretty restricted on what you can do without having to pay money for certain items. For instance like the Smurfberries in the Smurf game.
When starting out it's very tempting to spend money on doubloons. I know I did. (I don't regret it because the developers deserve to get paid) But adding friends helps proceeding in the game. Slowly at the beginning but the more you level up the faster it goes. You can find friends to add on this site. Have fun!
While I downloaded it and I'm enjoying it, chances are if I'm still playing this in a week or so I won't have any problem with giving the developers $5 for their hard work. My worry was games like the Smurfs where you need to pay something like $15 just to unlock items in the games like Smurfs you can't get without buying Smurfberries.
can someone tell me why you need to have alot of friends in the game ?? All the gifts are gone before you can take them... so i cant really se the point of having 100-200 friends ? its only alot of work to receive the gifts you cant have.. why ?????
There are a fair few items that are only available with doubloons, but we try to be nice about giving the player doubloons in-game too (sometimes when you level up or complete quests, for example). We still add items in updates that have costs in silver, though, and you can get all of the sizes for your ship deck and cabin in silver (if you have a needed number of friends in your League of Captains). In addition, only a few of the ship themes are available only in doubloons; most can also be bought in silver once you've beaten the NPC pirate cap'n in battle. And a note for everyone else, we also lowered the costs of buying ship sizes in silver for many of the larger sizes. If you haven't fully upgraded, now's a good time!

I dont understand this whole thing at all. #3- A contribution for newbies: I'm still in the rather early levels myself (17) and with the addition of the Trophy option, I figured out that certain types of jobs yield certain types of treasure. Hopefully this helps someone out there. Again, I'm only on level 17 so I haven't figured it out for all areas/levels but here's up to 17 **Note: Usually jobs less than 4 hours do not yield treasure in addition to FP/XP and Silver. So, I'm not including them below. The ones that do yield treasure in addition to XP USUALLY (But not always) yield the same treasure or same types of treasure. These come in handy when you want to complete a trophy and need more treasure items: (PS. Please excuse the names of the lands. Only a few times have I done a long job (16H) and not received a present from it. FYI- it doesn't look like using Doubloons to finish the job quickly makes a difference on whether or not you get the treasure. I wouldn't recommend it though... save those things ---- On that note... any one know what job yields the Bust? I need some and I cant figure it out. has anyone noticed since the latest update (the one with the carrier ship theme) the left chest doesnt give out as many doubloons anymore?
I was wondering if anyone had posted the loot/job possibilities. I think you can get the bust from one of the ship battles, either the Royal, Sub, or Ironclad ones...I can't remember which one though. I have all my guys on jobs, so once they come back, I'll see if I can contribute. Anyone know where to find more gold statues?
This is not a complete list by any means, but the following jobs have the possibility of yielding statues: Adopt a Monkey & Conk Crazed Croc. Both are on Turtledome Island
I have about 450-500 friends. I receive around 100 chest per day from which I get about 25-30 gold plus approx 9000-10000 fp (45-50 or so chests).
