This is ridiculous, why would you release something that is so buggy with full of error, everywhere i look people are having the same problems. If anything this is a huge setback next time when im buying a game from capcom.
Holy mother of god this is frustrating. I hope you devs fix this soon. AT LEAST let us resume downloads from where we stopped. This should be the first thing that should be implemented when you decided to update things within the program. The push notification for missions and treasure was a good touch though, I like it.
Damn I lost the whole day with this bug. I had my entire crew sitting on my boat until i realized... if anyone wants to continue playing. Missions and boat battles at least, TURN YOUR IPHONE TO AIRPLANE MODE. you won't be able to access friends list, chests, or the island, but at least you won't get the pop up message anymore.
why implement in-game update, should just upgrade the whole software as a new version. maybe there why apple approver take a long consideration to approve the new version since ingame update can bypass apple reviewers on any future update?

I have the exact problem. Gets to 100% and fails . I was thinkin about deleting and app and redownloading it. Guess that will erase all my data?
Spend 40k on the new mast, lost the money, got only 800 exp!!! And it is not even compatible with the new theme, that means I can't even use it!!!!
Is my money gone? I spent dubloons on a new theme, mast, and wheel and after linking to game center, I lost all but the theme. Fortunately, it was the most expensive buy that I was able to keep, but seeing as how dubloons are going to be harder to come by, can I expect some kind of return or is that just wishful thinking? Other than this loss of investment, the update loaded fine and the new content looks amazing, guys. I think there will be quite a renewed interest for anyone who was getting bored of seeing the same things over and over. Love the update material, but I don't love that I've lost purchases. Server load is *extremely* high right now. Everyone is trampling the server and each other haha I'm sure the hiccups will go away <24hrs. I was playing without any problem about 1hr after patch went up, and now everyone else has it so it slowed down a *lot* while everyone downloads it.
I guess you also don't get as many FP as before with this update..? I just discovered, after the update a purchase of rope (100 silver) only gave me 2 FP, and a barell (40 silver) gave me 1 FP only.. It sucks for people who are trying to level up........ = =+
I think I'm going to say screw this game. What Lind of sh!t is this? Just change the rules around mid game. That Jerry Rice level 31 is ****ing 250fp now!!
Update sucks! Yes, the rice quest (level 31) that previously gave more than 2,100 exp is now worth 292 exp. For those who want to level up, this is a real bummer... It is now impossible to catch up with those level 50 captains that used this quest for the last couple of weeks. To even make it worse, buying stuff with silver will yield way less exp; this again will slow down your leveling up compared to the pre-update point in time (instead of doing this, the devs could have simple raised the level cap to 55 or 60 with huge amounts of exp required for level up; with this, everyone would still be happy. But they decided to discriminate against newer players or those that did not have the time to play that often in the last weeks)... and, as confirmed by the devs, the bonus chests will give less doubloons... talk about motivation for playing this now... So what will I do with this game now? I'll probably use my funds to make my ship pretty now with the new items (that I really like!) and then, I'll stop playing as motivation for (slow) leveling is low now... and the game does not provide any other motivation for playing so far. Why is the update not simply adding new stuff, a new map and a new level cap? Everyone would have been happy then... And, BTW: since all the negative comments about the update/update procedure, the devs disappeared once again...
Well as least I'm at level 47. But still this upgrade was sh!TTY to say the least. I thought Capcpm was playing it cool with this but all along they were just trying to get us hooked, then strip away everything in hopes we pay up. Well Fu ck that sh it!! I'm ticked off and ****ing lost allot of respect I had for Capcom. I could have done without level 31 but the fp raitio for buying loot is just stupid now.
