I just counted and I got 50 pages + 17 - me, so 316 friends haha. I think the faster levelers either do more short term jobs, fire and hire new crew every time there is a better job, use all of the doubloons making jobs faster or buy and sell items over and over. Besides those methods above, I'm not sure what other tactics there are. So far using my own methods I can get 2 levels a day or so.

I'm finally catching up to the top people. I remember when I started playing, I was on like page 13 or so on my friends list. Now I'm on second Most people above 40 most likely are spending real cash to level, which is fine because it supports the game. But I haven't spent any yet, so there are ways to level fast even without spending real cash.
I'll just be burning up all my spare gold and silver for the next few days XD Thing is I've been trying so hard to move my rank up; I've succeeded pretty well so far, but everyone's levelling up so fast I'd be sure to fall irreparably behind once I stop, lol. I figured I might as well just give up. Will be hanging around for a bit to give help/suggestions/opinions though
I also agree those are the fastest ways to level..but then you have KOH..which level around 3 times a day above level 35. i am having a hard time calculating what he does to level up that fast. not to mention he needs around 300k exp a day to level 3 times a day. as fellcor mentioned before this guy is pretty intense. i wanna know what he does to level that fast. either he a) non stop does 15 sec, 1 min, 15 min or 20 min missions. (guy would have less than an hr to eat, sleep and do anything if he does any of the 15sec, 1 min or 15 min a day mission). b) a hell of a lot of doubloons, pretty much money spent. c) or he has over 2000 frds a day one level per day and giving him around 2000 chest with a income of 33% doubloons for each chest. 180K + exp purely from frds. if its not any of these 3, someone please explain to me. LOL... yes... regarding KOH, idk how levels so fast... i have emptied my doubloons and silvers and still he outrun me!!! just this Monday and Tuesday I was trying to catch up to Odin as well... and guess what... he just gives me clouds of dusts!!! LOL i actually have given up catching up those guys, yet I still play the game... just wants to reach level 50 while it is still the highest level.
Yeah, I'm just a lowly level 13, no chance of ever catching up to the big boys, but I don't care. Just having fun playing.

hm..that might work. its definitely easier not having to open gift chests..as it just get added automatically, less calls to server too. actually this game server is rather stable, the game hardly hangs and unless you really get a lousy connection, the game is playable 24/7. add the poorest pirate of them all : [email protected]
i will guess he is choosing choice 2. Even with 15s jobs, considering downtime and to play minigames, its impossible. (15s to finish, 5? min to finish minigames, otherwise he would use gold to buy beer). some of the later jobs gives more silver/FP (either of each) than 15m jobs jobs, so i guess it leaves powerleveling thru short jobs out and infeasible. He looks like the age who would spend on gold though. Honestly without spending any real cash on gold, i do not believe anyone can be at lv 40-45 range. i have more friends than any of the numbers mentioned here, hardly miss jobs, collects most chest, hoard all my excess treasures and silver since 2 weeks ago i think and i am only lv 25. I started playing this game since there were only 7 reviews and the game has a 3.5 star rating in the app store. I think kolokoy's point is that at present there's a call to the server every time we collect a free gift, as could be seen from the delay after the click. There isn't such a delay with the bonus chests, which makes them quite a bit faster to collect. Since you don't have to choose for the free gifts (as opposed to the bonus chests) and they won't be looted out (as opposed to surplus treasures), it does make a lot more sense for the free gifts to be creditted to the player's account as soon as they're sent out, or at least when the player calls up the gifts window - one call to the server would be quicker and easier to wait through than about 50 (that's the limit set for them now, if I'm not mistaken) seperate ones. On a different topic... Look, I'm not commenting on how anyone else plays the game by quitting, it was just that catching up was the only major goal I had left; I had customized my crew and ship until I had them just where I wanted them, and the jobs, maps, objectives etc unlock too slowly for my impatient ass. There also didn't seem to be much point in having them as my goal; correct me if I'm wrong, but gameplay actually doesn't change at all, right? Which brings me to a few suggestions for the devs: 1) More mini-games that you could use to gain FP, silver, or gold, possibly more challenging and more time-consuming than the ones we've got now (some kind of puzzle, say... or match-3, or something) 2) The ability to use treasures... at the very least, it'd be cool if the crew could wear the necklaces and crowns etc; going farther along this line, it'd be cool if the various gems could be used (possibly involving some mini-game) to fashion jewellery and so on. 3) More involvement as regards the main quests - right now, all we're doing is sending our crew on quests, collecting the spoils from them when we're done, and then rewarding them with root beer or a game. It doesn't matter how long the quests are or what the content is, the procedure is the same. It would be far more interesting if the players were more involved in the quests in some way (scope for more mini-games? Some kind of narrative? Heck, even the crew members complaining from time to time that they keep being sent on the same quests over and over again would be nice.) 4) Some kind of messaging system or interaction between captains... and maybe a voluntary gifting system? Not to mention the aforementioned 'XXX helped you scare the mice off!' kind of reward. I do realize that these suggestions would make the game a lot bulkier, give the servers a lot more pressure, and be a lot more work for the developers, and that this is a freemium game, so my suggestions might be quite unrealistic to execute. It's just that I simply got bored with doing the same thing day after day and figured (some of the) other players might feel the same (at some point in time).
It's ok dukisan your not the first to try and catch me Jackie and Felicos did the best and even out leveled me for about 4 hours but I always come back and smoke them I think they both gave up the person who gave me the biggest challenge was that guys who's name is a box the only advice I can give you to out level koh is sell everything on your ship and redo it to get that exp but I bet koh is probally sitting on some silver and doubloons to so its a gamble good luck and oh yeah I'm almost at 3mil exp when level cap increases il already be Maxed out again hahahahahah
I like the ideas mad dog especially the give friends gift idea there's so many times I would like to send out excess silver and doubloons to friends but have no way to do it
If it helps, I never spent a cent And I've just sold all the treasure and used all the doubloons and silver that I could... and i started on the 10th. Just for comparison.
I have spent 20 dollars real cash at the beginning to max my ship out it had nothing to do with my leveling that's why I don't understand why people say people 40+ must be spending real cash I haven't spent a cent since level 20 or so i wish I knew then when I had all the doubloons what I know now but the ways I'm seeing ppl posting and ideas of how they think ppl are lvln so fast are not my method but maybe when this game gets old or there's a point when you stop getting exp I will let my ways be known lol.
