Exactly, this is one of things we're taking into consideration. That's why the answer is not just to implement a "collect all" button. I think there is some way to tweak the gifting area and we're throwing around some ideas.
I'd like to see an update soon with new items, filtered shared treasure, possibly more interaction with friends... [email protected]
Gonna repost this in case some of you missed it: ** UPDATE ALERT ** OK Pirates! We are looking to submit update #1 this Friday! Here's what you're getting: Game Center Integration Ship deck screenshot (can be posted to Facebook or saved to photo gallery) DLC New Content update message Message of the day Local Notifications Treasure Island Shows thiefs Facebook profile picture Various bug fixes and enhancements including: Ship shopping and item placement enhancements, Treasure Island sell all bug fixed, server optimizations New content: 50+ new ship and clothing items, 2 new ship themes And here's some new LP yumminess to drool over:
Look forward to the update!, especially the new items and themes. One question though.. Is the screenshot/camera icon really necessary??. I'm sure that everybody is aware that they can simply press the home and lock button at the same time to take a screenshot, that is automatically saved to the phone and can then easily be emailed or texted. I personally think the camera icon is making the screen a little too cluttered and is unnecessary. [email protected] .
As suggested by Mad Dog Sawamura, the number of people plays the most important factor. Each person that helps that crew member adds a percentage of the base silver reward onto the reward your crew member gets. Also, we only show 1 name because if we tried to show 100 people, it would probably break the popup >.> Quick an easy way of posting to Facebook is one of the reasons. The other is that we may play around with what UI is visible when you take a screenshot, which is something you otherwise can't control. Also, you'd be surprised how many people don't know about that screenshot shortcut. That and moving icons around in the home menu seems to be one of those things I end up telling everyone else I know in my family when they get an iDevice.
Then I wonder if it's more efficient to send all of my crew on 2day-3day quests to rack up the "help" percentages!
Could be. If you have lots of friends helping you out, you'll get more silver, but in any case, you'll get less FP and less treasure items than if you were doing more shorter jobs.
I've been wondering about this for a while: do longer jobs give better value treasure, or does it have anything to do with your level/level of the job (ie unlocked later in the game), or is it all just a matter of luck? [edit] And everyone who's been calling me Mad Dog, or Mad Dog Sawamura... I don't mind being called Seiji (it's all referring to the same guy anyway).
Totally, but more silver = more FP the way I play! I'll give it a shot with half my crew and see if it's worth it. By the way, the Pilfer Jeera Rice quest... way OP Just don't nerf it until I find a more efficient quest haha.
In regards to treasure items, I found it's based on the area you do the quest. On the 3rd ship battles I was getting tiaras, on the 4th ship I'm now getting helmets, swords etc... So the length is not as important as as the level of the quest. Oh and here's my ship currently too:
Luck always plays a part, as there's only a chance you'll get any items from a given job. Longer jobs have more possible treasure items and better chances of getting said items, but constantly doing shorter jobs would likely net you more treasures if you're diligent (especially if you have Sailing Master titles given to you). Awww...... that's a bad typo...
**CONTEST** Well, Toast's nutballs ship has inspired us to start an unofficial contest of sorts. How about all you Pirates post photos of your ships all decked out. I'll then cut off the entry with a deadline. A poll will be created with everyone's name and corresponding ship photos for TA forum goers to vote on their favourite ship. The winner(s) will receive a jaunty little prize of a generous amount of doubloons. Get posting!!! We'll give this a few days.
I bought $20.00 worth of doubloons on my first day playing, that went mostly into increasing the size of my ship and some vanity items and clothes for my crew to look like One Piece characters. The rest of the doubloon items were earned from all of the people that added me and gift me each day (sometimes multiple times in a day). So thanks to everyone!
