can someone shed some light when you get "helped out" by your friends? u would usually gain +xxx silver depending on what factor? The length of the mission , your level, or the level of your friend or even the number of friends who decided to help you? Can that actually happen, that friend A helped ya but you appeared to friend B screen thus the rewards are accumulated, but when the mission end it shows only friend A has helped you but the rewards varies by a large margin. i get varies amount of 300 silver to 10k silver on such mission and i really want to know what is the determining factor. add the poorest pirate of the game : [email protected]
I notice inconsistency with that as well. I could get +100 silver on a quest that was helped, then doing the same quest again, I would get 3000+ silver on it. It might really depend on the level of the friend helping you. And about your concern over "open all" button. I agree, it's nice to see which friend is spamming my chest box. Like today I saw Koh level up 4 times and that motivated me to play more lol. With an open all button, stuff like that would be missed.
koh been a leveling spree since last week. just hope he doesnt burn himself out. 100 -> 3000 is a 30 fold increase..172->12k (maximum i ever got) is like a mad 70? fold difference. been dying to find out how i can alter the figures. add the poorest pirate of the game : [email protected]
Just give me a pet monkey in the update and I'll be happy. Or maybe later the devs can add Movie themed clothes. Captain Morpheus of the Nebacenezzehr (Matrix). Yeah Um kinda heeled for this game. Addictive!
too late i missed it. however i did make note of a lv 14 with a +300 silver help. i try make a list and update ya ltr and figure this out.
look out for a figure on your map. its random but its usually there until you helped X amount of friends which decrease their appearing rate. helping them gives them silver at no cost to u, u gain some small amount of silver and exp in return.
Yes it might remove some part of the enjoyment but it is extremely frustrating to have to wait between 5 to 20 seconds for each item because it has to do a server round trip. The worst part is that anything that is a "Surplus" is always gone anyway so its just wasted time. If they could just display what is still available at that time and save the server roundtrip for free gifts that would be much much faster to take everything. I reached a point where I can't keep up. My only option is to give up on the gifts or delete half or more of my friends I'm sad that a solution is not coming for this friday but how well we can't all have what we want :|
I have to agree with this. All the surplus gifts are extremely annoying and just a waste of time. I think I get about 1 out of 200 of the surplus gifts, all the others are already taken and it takes 5-20 seconds just to open one. Maybe an idea would be to split up gifts in 3 different tabs or something. 1. Level up boxes 2. Free gifts 3. Surplus gifts Then you could have an "Open all" for the Free gifts tab only. The third tab (surplus) should empty out the oldest gifts after you exceed 100 or something. That way most people that don't care about the surplus treasures can just ignore the third tab and only open/get the first and second tab. Just brainstorming some idea... Add me if you haven't yet, ryunii [at] gmail.com
they shld simply automatically delete the entry from our gift list from surplus gifts whenever it has been claimed so it only leaves free gifts and bonus chests. that way it keeps us from opening alll chest which makes the game a "how-many-emails-you-can-enter-to-get-10k-friends" instead of well looking at some pictures (Fackbook) of real people playing the game AND do away with the server roundtrip thingy for all the useless surplus chests. i personally NEVER got anything from these surpluses chests for as long as i can remember, starting to think if the function is working at all... add the poorest pirate of all : [email protected]
I definitely agree with that, surplus items should just plain disappear when they've been claimed by other people :/
+1 to this suggestion! saves server space, too Wonder if deck help (ie when you visit someone's ship and is asked to help) ever gives the friend that's been helped anything... I mean, it'd be pretty sweet to get "+xxxx silver from the help your friend X gave you" after getting rid of the mice or something! I'm betting that the crew help stacks up. After all, I help out everyone who appears on my map, but only get about 2 of those 'you've been helped' messages a day...or do your crew members appear more often on people's maps if you're higher level? Has anyone studied this? And that update look sweet. No more pixelated pirates, woot! Also thanks for the explanation of the gift expired message, felicor
well if anyone can solve the mystery of how the help your fellow pirates, its appearance rate (what mad dog has mentioned), its returns (i just got a help from a lv 11 with 5.5k silver return, before that its a lv 14 with a +300) rate and the factors associated is much appreciated. Maybe it has something to do with how much silver the HELPER has in his account? can someone verify how much they are getting from me for any quest (must be the same quest, at least twice in a row)? i urge the dev to do away with the purging of gifts that are expired or have been claimed. i noticed alot of players whom started earlier than me, are not playing anymore nowadays. They might be losing interest but imagine someone going for a 7 day holiday without checking their chests..on average we got like 500? chest per day, coming home to a 3.5k new chest message..might very well push many players (maybe even me included) to abandon the game. Sometimes people take a break from gaming due to work or commitments, the unopened chest amount will force many to quit when they return a few days/weeks later. add the poorest pirate : [email protected]
we could try pooling all the data we could get - our levels, wealth, who we helped, what quests we were helped on by whom and the amount rewarded... there might be a lot of useless data, though, since some of the captains share the same name and the people we have on our fleets might not all be on this forum (I know a lot of mine aren't).
Get yer ships out!... Curious to see other peoples (and don't have time to scroll through all those in my friends list).. [email protected]
hm another idea hit me, why not dedicate one map for a weekly event (last thru the weekend)? it might be a series of recycled events, such as getting treasures to a certain lv to fulfill requirements to open up other side quests on the same map, or having 3 guys (male crew) doing the same quest x times over so the criteria for another side quest opens up for the ladies to do something else...it show be avaliable and achieveable/scalable to all players irregardless of levels. add the poorest pirate : [email protected]
