Yea I haven't been able to connect for the last 3 hours. There is no updates on their facebook page. I'm guessing most of them are sleeping or at home. Its the weekend after all Anyone can connect? --- lil' pirates: [email protected]
Hmmm it says you must be connected to finish this quest I'm connected but I can't finish the quest how lame well let me know if there is a fix for this
Cap'n Toddimus Hey fellow buccaneers!!! I've added most of you up to this point over the last couple days, figured I should at least show my face in here. Odin I've got you as Sailin' Master, BenBen as my Quartermaster and Luffy as my Appraiser. Nothing against any of you guys, but I'd like to give the titles to lower level guys (hell, I'm a lowely level 13), as I'm sure each of you have plenty of titles already anyway If anyone can return the favor and give me a title, let me know. Until then Odin, BenBen and Luffy, you guys got 'em. Having a blast with this game so far. Hopefully it stays fresh. It's a great thing to see the developers keeping an eye on here and openly communicating with people on changes/additions that can be made/added. I'm so sick of We Rule, thanks for this IUGO! add me: sketch470 (a)hotmail.com Gamecenter, Plus+, OF, etc: sketch470
Wow I originally posted in the Lil' Pirates Add Me thread, but the response I got from posting here was incredible! Aside from the early "Sync Error" which resulted in me having to fire 5/6 of my crew and rehire (which I worked out by myself bit probably could have worked out by posting here) the game is soooo addictive... Hopefully the server issues can be worked out in time, I've been in business with a handful of successful iPhone/iPod Touch app creators who have had unexpected success and unanticipated server load problems and once the reality of the app sets in it's hard to keep up to date. I'm sure given enough time this app will undoubtedly become a massive rival to the other Facebook games that are out (some of which I play regularly, but none as much as I check and play this!!!) Devs, look forward to more money coming your way from me in Doubloon purchases. I love to support worthy apps with in-game purchases, but it's not often I'm addicted like I am to things like this! Good work devs, and to all else, feel free to add me! [email protected]
on the same device? i am thinking of starting a new account, but was hesitant that my fb account will be wiped, though the new player warning says its safe..
hm i been thinking, maybe if just deleting chests that have been taken would do. Chest opening takes up the lion share of our time, just the bonus chest to open seems, like cutting alot of interaction with the game. idk just a totally random thought. add me fellow pirates! [email protected] 2 more titles (besides first mate and quartermaster available for trade!)
Fellcor: Its obvious that you used a 4h and 6h job to show the numbers scale, which is missing the point, your not through enough. Secondly, by omitting the FP portion you are not being through enough which makes your argument already flawed. I am buying all my ships with silver. Since gold is limited and silver is virtually unlimited after a period of time, it makes sense to save gold for gold only objects and save silver for ships upgrade. One WOULD run out of silver only items to buy, say you are level 90, with 9m silver and maybe 20 gold left, do you still think its wise to spent the gold on ships upgrade 40 levels ago? By level 50, you would easily have one of every loot, deck, clothing item, or would you argue otherwise? My strategy precisely work around this and made silver "useful" again. In short, long term thinking, planning and having an overall strategy. (oh thanks for the word correction, i always make that mistake) You made the exact same word mistake twice in that last paragraph!!!! Say it with me now... Thor---ough--- Ha! Naw, I'm just teasing, man.. no hard feelings ya? i am just that and can be very brutal and rough on some points. There are definitely no hard feelings, and I respect that you want to give good advice to people. I wasn't doing/saying anything productive on this forum (other than my plank idea, which I'm glad you like), I was just complaining.. I honestly can't believe you're thinking as long term as Level 90 though.. That's intense... So we'll just disagree about the whole silver thing. I just don't care about silver at this point, cuz buying stuff isn't all that gratifying to me any more, but that's just me. My final opinion is that the way I see it, I like buying stuff for my boat, but the most satisfying aspect at this point in the game is simply levelling up and upgrading ship sizes. The treasure island aspect is already getting somewhat lame, and the jobs aren't that interesting either (the root beer thing, though at first was cute, is also kinda lame.. I haven't played a mini-game in days cuz I have like 200 of those freakin' bubbly A&W specials that I need to use up..). Then there's the ship battles. Again, something that has huge potential, but just watching a battle take place has become a monotonous chore that yields the exact same outcome every time... It's like: "Oh, I won?? Yay, that was a surprise.." I don't know about the rest of the people, but I have never had to use a repair kit, or smoke shielder (or whatever they are.. I don't even know cuz I've never used one) or whatever that third thing is. Every battle is an easy win, and it's boring... Finally, there's the friend concept which also has such great potential but has got a long way to go. I also don't know about everyone else, but with the amount of time it takes to go through the gifts, I don't spend any time visiting everyone's ship anymore either for the 30 silver and 10 FP you get for helping them out. It becomes work, and not so much fun... I don't know why, but I do still really like catching those mice! I need to catch 11 of those little buggers now, and that still totally entertains me for some reason!! I have a feeling there will be others out there with my opinion, so unless the game makers make a few changes, I'll probably be moving on to another new app by this time next week.. (I'll keep it installed until a new upgrade comes out, but I'll definitely delete all my friends so that I don't have 800,000 gifts to go through the next time I check up on it..) I absolutely LOVE Lil' Pirates though, and like I wrote in my very first post, I've never played a game of this nature before, and I've spent way more time on it over the course of this week then I have on any other game.. The initial appeal is there, now the makers just need a way to keep people interested.. Our generation is a tough one to please.. [email protected]
Special Objectives? In the Objectves Box (Basic, Short term, Long term, and Special), has anyone had a Special Objetive at all? I guess I'm asking the higher levels players here, cuz I'm at 17, and don't think there have been any so far... As well, I don't want to keep sounding negative here, but I do feel like my comments are valid. This has been said before on this forum, but really Short Term Objectives? I'm talking to you here "Mr. Complete 50 or 70 jobs", and you too "Mr. Spend 5 Doubloons & 10,000 Silver". 5 root beers is all you're gonna give me for completing you? 5 root beers? Really? Talk about zero motivation to even care slightly about you anymore... I used to care about you Short Term Objectives, I really did, but that seems like such a long time ago now. You used to give me up to three doubloons when I took care of you, and worked hard for you, and now, even though your demands are getting way tougher, and take way longer to accomplish, all you can do is give me 5 FREAKIN' ROOT BEERS!! Really??! REALLY??!!! Well then it's over between us, and all I have left to say is that I hope you're happy with another pirate cuz I won't even look at you anymore. I hate you Short Term Objectives... [email protected]
It has been a problem for me with gifts now....if i haven't log in lil' Pirates for a day, when i log back in i have 200+ gifts....is it possible for you guys to create a "take all" or "take similar" function...so that we don't have to go through 200 clicks?? Thx
Actually I would not choose the quest with more exp and less silver for undisclosed reasons you'll find out one day Felcor but you are right it's up to everyone how or why they play the game what makes the game fun for me is being on top and getting to the level cap the fastest so I can start hoarding.
You made the exact same word mistake twice in that last paragraph!!!! Say it with me now... Thor---ough--- Ha! Naw, I'm just teasing, man.. Fellcor : yes mom...zzz Ross : There are definitely no hard feelings, and I respect that you want to give good advice to people. I wasn't doing/saying anything productive on this forum (other than my plank idea, which I'm glad you like), I was just complaining.. I just don't care about silver at this point, cuz buying stuff isn't all that gratifying to me any more, but that's just me. Fellcor : Thanks, i always am seen as a player or gamer whom contribute, backed with reasons and logic. i am hardly selfish in my views or strategies and thus my reputation in forums or games i do, and i don't really like people whom don't share and i tend to ignore such people, no matter how far they are ahead of me. For most of the games i do play, i get to the penultimate state of things, high level, most objectives achieved, gold/silver/currency to burn, top 10? then i quit and considered myself "finished" with the game, often quitting it altogether. The game is only out for 2? weeks and we are already at level 20. 90 is not that far off if we do this game for a year or so. Ross : My final opinion is that the way I see it, I like buying stuff for my boat, but the most satisfying aspect at this point in the game is simply levelling up and upgrading ship sizes. The treasure island aspect is already getting somewhat lame, and the jobs aren't that interesting either (the root beer thing, though at first was cute, is also kinda lame.. I need to catch 11 of those little buggers now, and that still totally entertains me for some reason!! Fell : for me its just hoarding silver for ship upgrades, thinking will i quit the game with 1000 gold unspent (i have a few hundred of them now). 400 A&ws unspent. Last item is shot volley (i don't have one, seems like it give u some free shots at your tgt, at a price of a cooldown period, which they should be dead at the end of it all). Ya the gift accepting stacks up, clearing around a few hundred chests takes up time, i also don't visit my friends too. We are simply too addicted and burned ourselves out. Most top players at any one time are players dedicated (they might join the fray 1 month later but still be playing long after some of us left), so thats the point i wanted to drive across. Doing too much and doing it all using gold will rob you of an objective. Ross : I have a feeling there will be others out there with my opinion, so unless the game makers make a few changes, I'll probably be moving on to another new app by this time next week.. Fell : are there many well developed app such as this? besides trade nations which i just started, there isn't much games i know of that is as well build as this. We rule came out strong but inability to trade or refusal to listen to to community made them lose players. Hopefully capcom and (the other company) can add new FUNCTIONALITY in the game, not just touch up on some areas, else we are as burnt out as you are on the game. Each level gain just is a calculation to see the current job one is taking gives more reward than the newly opened up ones. Switch over and reset your alarm clock. i was hoping for something drastic, which affects gameplay. Such as banding together to form a pirate team, ROBBING people on the way back as opposed to helping them, war? via KOF (king of fighters 3vs3) type of ship attacks , ownership of certain maps (areas) which gives bonuses to jobs performed in that area and members of the pirate teams that hold that map and have influence on it or something. add me [email protected] fellow pirates, 2 more titles to trade for, mesg me here if you wanna trade (appraiser and sailing master titles left)
Hmm well when it comes to gaming I usually take the advice from the top players kind of like you would in real life would you take advice from a bum which might one day be great but has yet to show any promise or a person who is at the top of their class
I'm going to assume it's because buying high level items give you XP? Thanks to everyone in this thread that has added me so far, hope I'm giving you all great loot and chests!
I will never understand people. They don't want to pay 99 cents for a full game, but spend tens of dollars on "free" games with item shops. If I hear "social game" I have to throw up. They are only god for 1. pulling your money 2. spamming forums 3. spamming friends' emails = making you broke and unsocial.
after 90 jobs anyone here finished the 90 jobs? what would be the next one? would there be do 1000 jobs? lol add me: [email protected] Thanks!!!
