I bet Gameloft could port the real Witcher

Instead of porting that browswr based version Atari should justoutsource the engine to Gsmeloft snd theyll port the whole freaking game probably. What do you guys think would it work?

Number one, it's not made by Ubisoft, so they definitely CAN'T port it, but they could copy it, that's all that you can hope for

It's crazy how cheap idevice games are

Even by big time companies. On top of that there are constant price drops and free promotions. How so those companies even make money or justify developing for it. If they give it out even when they update it they can't Harte those people again can they? So whats the point of dropping price so low or giving the game out? I mean you can get a full ragman 2 game on iPhone or iPad for 5 bucks on app store when even a used copy at gamestop for any system will probably cost 8. So why do people even use wiiware or pan network and steam when you got the app store (I'm talking about the people who have multiple systems or devices). Why is it so cheap compared to steam or wiiware, psn, etc.? And whats crazy is the amounts of good games like full blown ragman 2, a full blown settlers game that goes for 3 to 5 times more for pc or other platforms, and not just mini games but long fps for example as well Heck ff1 sells for way more on psp for example. Also what is up with people talking trash about I pad games when most psp and ds games at full prices not even network games are 30 dollar mini games. Look at those cooking mania and such games on ds.

That are designed to scale well on iPad? and why is it every time there is any attention to new software for advices or engines like the one by epic it's always geared toward iPhone. I mean iPad is selling in millions so why can't software follow those sales with some content?

I mean how are all those short nippy icon games like batman and all those nippy icon games for psp like cladun any better than stuff like pico pico quest on the iPad at a fraction of even the psp pxn network price?

Oh and regarding small dev studios the amiga game section was made up of like 1 to 3 people and in my opinion and the opinion of many up to this day the game selection overall is better than snes or gensis of that era. So how does the fact that iPad or iPhone games are made up of small dev studios imply they can't be more innovative and/or just as good?

Another thing I am trying to understand being jew to idevices

Is why do ppl or "hardcore" gamers constantly rag on the iPhone or iPad of being full of mini games or non games or stupid kino games or flash games and they never comment on the handful of real console like ports or portable quality games available that rent ports or incredibly casual and short that also cost little when compared to anything else out there including pan network and steam? I mean gta Chinatown wars is a real game and not a stripped down game like resident evil 4 by cap com, yet it is also incredibly cheap when compared to its offering on. Psp and ds. Why do idevice games cost so little when the psp also has a network yet they never made a cheap priced version for it there ( in fact most umd and pan network games are similar priced). It is just so incredibly how many good games u can get so cheap on the ipad or iPhone. I mean u can get gomi, sooiz, pizza boy, sonic 4, settlers, rayman 2 (which is also a port of a real game in its entirety unlike re 4 or other cap com offerings), banzai rabbit, bounce on, crystal war, angry birds, dark void zero all for the price of one pr two psp or ds games. How do ppl even play ds or psp games anymore? Or not evaluate their previous gaming expenditures since discovering the app store. It revolutionized my gaming that's for sure.

And this brings me to the second point. Capcom doesn't have to bring stripped down console games to it but I believe only choose to. It's not because of the limitations but apples pricing restrictions we haven't seen a real re4 on it. Do u guys think apple should allow some exceptions to the low prices to get devs like capcom to make real games? Soo I believe the stiff competition and prices are good and bad points of the app store, but ccom should think like blizzard does. Despite the fact there have been 20 diablo clones since 2 came out and about 15 star craft clones since it came out they still spent the time, resources, etc. To make the sequels and they sold like butter due to quality not innovation. So price not competition I believe is why tar. Ig devs haven't gone full throttle. But now the question comes is it apples fault or user base's?

And I meant to put new not Jew in title but I'm so excited and typing too fast on an iPad to have missed it. But I just wanted to point out despite the fact most idevice games are casual and mini games like wii compilations or worst doesn't mean if u look hard enough u won't find about 10 or so real games in there for cheap too. And not even all the RPGs on there are over within hours or short like someone mentioned chaos rings. Look at the arvale games. If u look hard enough u can use the iPad as ur main gaming system, if u just say got one now like em and are discovering all these games. And some genres like 4x warpgate and galaxy on fire and soon ascendency don't have any portable offerings till now. How can real gamers not find anything worthwhile pn advices? Most are just super narcisstic, over critical and biased IMO. Heck they hate apple so much they stopped giving wii casual flak due to the ipad and iPhone being the new punching bag for their conversations now when the wii has more or just as much percentage of casual gaming compared to hardcore in it's collection as the iPad.

    Zelda Classic

    http://www.zeldaclassic.com/

Are they porting Zelda Classic to the idevices? If not is it cause of the zelda name? Nintendo obviously never send a cease or decease to the windows or mac version makers. It would be great if they just ported a few of the best qrests and like with the dink small wood updates each update or expansion slots had more high quality wrests so users wouldn't have to pick out good ones themselves and have to weed out the crap.

Like I said idevice games are an amazing deal

Read the recent Kirby epic yard ign review. In the lasting appeal despite getting a high score the reviewer said it is only 6 hours. That's six hours for a $50 game. You can get games just as unique and good on the advices IMO as Kirby and even longer for about five bucks or maybe less (look at frogatto being like two bucks) and you people complained about the underworlds only being six hours? Your paying two bucks for a portable diablo. How many portable diablos can you find on the ds or free roam rpgs like xenome.

Do you guys think Infinity Blade will be ported to the wii

Or that you'd rather have it on the wii due to the control implementation probably being better on the wii with full swings?

I dont get the big deal behind the or nvidia 3d vision

The standard old school method of 3d like on advices seems to work fine. I mean we have 3d games as well like d.y effect and that home run game. So what's so special about those other expensive 3d systems?

Do you guys think ea sports titles caught up

With the ds and psp versions in terms of quality despite being much cheaper? I learnt that FIFA 11 is like almost a gig and has lots of features, so wouldn't you say the psp and ds versions probably will be no bigger (ESP ds version cause its on a cart)?

I'm gonna go on a limb here and say

That beast boxing will be a better game, ESP with updates, then I finite blade when it comes out. Despite having almost no hype. And that infinity blade will be one of the most overhyped games ever.

Are we more casual than wii gamers?

Are we, people who have other systems but play on the iPhone or iPad more than any of them, more casual in our taste of gaming than even grandmas who play wii sports and resort and Mario patty? Because if so that would be real embarrassing. I mean the wii is already the laughing stock of even psp owners much less 360 or ps3 so where would that put us?

Why does ea even bother to make idevice games if they cripple them?

I was reading the new ifs game and it seems that EA still doesn't get it. Half the freaking game is missing as you are only chasers or pursuers and not pursued. Why do they spend sly the amount of time porting an engine or adding good graphics to games and cripple them or make half a$$Ed ports in the first place? Do Idevice gamers not want real games and continue putting money in their pocket anyway? Or is it that they never make enough money for them to bother? But if that is the case why make these games at all instead of spa ding time making them on psp or ds or the next co sole game? I mean if ur gonna cripple every single game you release why even bother?

Gameloft is the only company that takes iGaming seriously

Unlike both I'd and epic who only want you to salivate and give you a taste of something that potentially could be great in your mouth with a bunch of polish around it but gameplay that is no different than anything else already accomplished on the iDevices, gameloft for instance makes full blown first person shooters on it, and are essentially three steps ahead of say ID software. Carmack admitted he hasn't figured out how to make it free roam or has to make it on rails due to tech reasons, this alpine proves how accomplished gameloft is. Also the game is incredibly abort and repetitive from what I read (read the pocket gamer review).

Could the iPhone and iPad feature s full Ceville?

Why was such a crappy arcade game made for it rather than porting the full game since the advices, and Especially the iPad, are made really for games such as this. I mean adventure games run just as well if not better than the pc and many full games have been Ported already like myst and monkey island. So why not the newer games like Ceville? And why not machinarium while were at it?
