Whoa just made it to the hive a couple of minutes ago and I have to say that it was pretty awesome. I really like the design of the hive boss as well.
Yeah, with some randomization tweaks, I definitely see this game as a definite winner. I'd also love to see customization/evolution added in a future update after the game releases. Oh yeah, and an invincibility p-up and a bulbie attraction/magnetic p-up!
Wow I still haven't gotten past zone 2 on this without losing all my lives. Any tips guys? Maybe I'm just not very good.
Yeah, I guess a few more Jetpack Joyride type features would be cool. Just practice. Also, try to keep your hands out of the way as much as possible. The way I do it is to only change the direction of the dude when you need to. If you constantly keep your finger on the screen then most likely the enemies will surprise you and you'll lose unnecessary health.
I have one more idea, if you still have the time to change it. I do like the icon, but if you look at it from a distance, it's not quite sharp, maybe there's just a bit to much on the icon idk. If I look at all my other game icons, I see straight away what it's about. Just an idea though
Yeah the icon isn't that good as I don't think it's retina supported? Also, have you considered a joystick control? I am getting used to the current controls, but they're still awkward.
Sent feedback via the option in the game. Here's what I said: When does the beta end? I haven't gotten a chance to make it to the hive yet, but I really would like to. Right now, I can't get past the second stage. I wouldn't say I'm the best of all of the hardcore gamers, but I'm somewhere up there!
Sweet, ok so I've got time. How do they know whether or not we made it to the hive? I want to know so I can take a screenshot when I do.
If you go to the little star icon in the main menu it shows you all of your stars/scores. I think they track those. The red star on the far right is what you get after beating the hive level.
The beta ends on Friday 23 at 5:00 pm (GMT+8). I think that should be 4am EST on Friday. Surprised that the new testers want virtual controls. I'm pretty sure your gameplay performance would go down due to having your thumb fixed on the side and not being able to see what's coming. Also, I don't really think it suits the style of the game. I just wish the movements were looser and maybe add tilt controls. But to each his own. The game just takes practice, if anything. Randomization should be cleaned up as well.
Sent some feedback via testflight, just replied straight to the email. It's a fun game, but one that needs some polishing just in the help menu, explaining the game better... Also suggested tilt controls, as some other people in this thread added. (can't remember who)
Thanks all for the feedback. Our last build will be uploaded in 4 and a 1/2 hour. Changes that are planned mainly are, balancing fix, game should be easier now. Also a virtual pad option for those who wants it. This is not the final fix, we just wanted to put it up there so you guys can test and see if it fits the game. Thanks
Awesome looking forward to the new build and maybe was wondering if you guys might sell a OST? The music is ace for this gameplay and story..and art is perfect for this gameplay..very much into this game! So how dies the hive proof work in your guys eyes ?
The music and SE is not final yet, most of them are still WIP, some are just the same music lol. But we'll think about it if there's demand after the launch. Thanks. About the hive, we wanted it to be a huge surprise and also a change of pace from original gameplay for the player, but unfortunately it's too big of a difference in gameplay style that quite a lot of player didn't understand how it works. So we are thinking on adding more tutorial or how to play info about the hive, or maybe more in-game tutorial. We're quite relieved that most still find its enjoyable enough. If you don't please send us feedback saying "it sucks, here's why : [insert feedback]" Thank you If you're connected to internet, then we'll be informed via testflight when you reached the hive.
Glad to hear about the new update. Will it be a floating virtual pad like I described in my email? That would be best I think.
