Its compelling mix of real-time storytelling and Dave Justus’s suspenseful writing continues to capture the imaginations of countless players worldwide. Lifeline 2 raises the bar with a new story almost twice as long as the original, with many more choices and paths to explore. Lifeline 2 features a 28-minute original soundtrack and is fully optimized for watchOS 2, delivering the best Lifeline experience on Apple Watch yet. The second story in the Lifeline series connects you with Arika, a young woman on a deadly quest to avenge her parents and rescue her long-lost brother. Your choices will keep her alive and help her succeed as she faces mortal danger on her way to a final, fateful showdown against the forces that threaten all of humanity. Lifeline stories play out in real time. As Arika travels to complete her quest, notifications deliver new messages throughout your day. Keep up as they come in, or catch up later when you’re free. You can even respond to Arika directly from your Apple Watch or your iPhone lock screen, without launching into the app on your phone. After completing any story branch, you can rewind to earlier parts of the story, or speed through parts you’ve already read. See what happens when you make a different choice: will you guide Arika virtuously, or cut corners to gain an edge? Seemingly simple actions can deeply affect the outcome. Arika’s story, and the fate of the world, depend on your judgment. You will face the consequences together, because Arika is relying on YOU. Lifeline 2 features no in-app purchases and no ads. An Internet connection is not required. I don’t think any other game I’ve played has made me feel that way before.” - Matt Thrower, PocketGamer Lifeline 2 was created by: Dave Justus Matthew Sturges Colin Liotta Dan Selleck Mars Jokela Benjamin Ellebracht Original music composed by Norman Fairbanks. Much like Taylor in Lifeline 1, Arika is instantly likable. I deleted Lifeline 1 after finishing it a couple of times, but by the looks of things, the Lifeline series could be part of my favorite games on iOS. Downloaded the first again and this time 'round it's going anywhere. I mean, Taylor you could connect with...but Arika? Let's just say she's propped her feet up for the first time in quite a while and I'm here scared shitless. iSupah Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2012 94 0 0 #12 iSupah, Sep 24, 2015 My lord I don't think I ever been connected to a character this much before but Arika took the ball for that. I'm in love with this so much. When Arika is sleeping or spellcasting, I can imagine her actually doing it as the game uses real-time to progress. Like she slept at 5:30 AM and I didn't get one message until about 3:45 PM today! Amazing and I can't wait for this journey to continue. She's sleeping again so just have to wait! gmattergames Well-Known Member Mar 1, 2013 607 42 28 #13 gmattergames, Sep 24, 2015 Initial impression: I feel like I'm interacting with Taylor from the original, not necessarily a bad thing, but very similar: playfully sarcastic, witty but not intellectual, youthfully hip, feminine but not prissy, somewhat self-loathing, and slighly flirtatious. So far, Arikas sex hasn't been confirmed, but at this point (early) it definitely feesl like the character, again, was written with a female in mind. My point: both games are focused on interactive dialogue with a single character, and so far, the interactions Arika are very similar to Taylor. So, if you liked the first, don't hesitate. After playing it for a while, the app becomes slower and slower to respond (tap an answer and it will freeze up quite a bit before printing out Arika's response). When I starts to play quest 3, the app crashes and cannot be opened again. Is Lifeline 2 not compatible with older devices (memory not smaller than 1GB, etc.)? I'm hoping it's only a fixable bug though. Thanks! 3MinMars Active Member Apr 22, 2015 39 0 0 http://3mingames.com #15 3MinMars, Sep 26, 2015 Hmm, we did test on several older devices, and we also did several optimizations to make the app more performant, but I don't believe an iPad mini 1 was on our test list. I'll raise it as an issue to investigate. Thank you for the report, this is really helpful! elfspelth Member Jun 4, 2012 9 0 1 #16 elfspelth, Sep 26, 2015 Holy cliffhanger, Batman! After finishing the game, am I right in thinking that Spoiler the storyline between the two lifeline games are directly linked ? I think I actually enjoyed this one more the first one. Looking forward to the next one! 3MinMars Active Member Apr 22, 2015 39 0 0 http://3mingames.com #17 3MinMars, Sep 26, 2015 Spoiler There are definitely connecting threads, and the two games are indeed part of a bigger story. I'm as curious as you are about where the writers go with it next! Zaraf Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2009 413 4 18 #18 Zaraf, Sep 27, 2015 Having a great time with this. But I'm wondering, is it possible to get the key?
