This is a rarity a Square game i have never played! Surprised to see it coming to mobile and can't wait to play it! Toucharcade have a news story about it KineticBlur Well-Known Member Jul 21, 2014 238 0 16 #9 KineticBlur, Dec 13, 2017 Bought in my local AppStore! Some quick impressions on my iPhone X. The game’s first loading screen... starts out boxed as if it doesn’t support the X. My heart absolutely dropped. Then I see the title screen fill up the X’s entire screen and I did a little dance Intro started with walking to the lighthouse in the storm as usual. But. ONE. GLARING. PROBLEM. The bottom notch like was a big white eye glaring out at me. And it wasn’t going away. It remained through the cutscene and even while I started playing. As I started playing there was a swipe-to-look around and tap-to-move control setup. Being someone who loathes tap to move controls, my heart dropped again. Made my way to the lighthouse with the bright white eye staring at me on the bottom, which never dims or turns grey by the way, and the clunky controls. After the intro I managed to get into options to realize there was thankfully an option for joystick controls... hallelujah! Left side of the screen for moving, right side of the screen for looking around. But it still feels clunky, the looking around part as if there’s some input lag and as if it sort of drags around while trying to look around instead of being responsive. Interacting with things in the initial classroom sequence also seemed like a chore since you literally have to get up to someone’s face or within 6 inches of an item to enable the “view/talk/use” options to interact with any given person, door or item. The game looks amazing graphically but it’s really, really hard to ignore the bottom, bright white bar which essentially needs to disappear during gameplay and cutscenes completely, or at least fade down to an acceptable level. If anyone has questions feel free to ask. I think not too many developers are aware that option even exists. Still I'd rather it be a system level thing we could toggle off so then we wouldn't have to rely on each developer updating their individual apps. That thing drives me nuts too. redribbon Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2010 2,799 53 48 entepreanur, programmer #11 redribbon, Dec 14, 2017 Last edited: Dec 14, 2017 does anyone here know about the season pass thing? i purchased the app for 2.99 initial price and they charge 7.99 for the season pass(episodes 2-5) while if you purchase each episodes individually, it only cost you 0.99 each? is this a launch price discount or? i found so many bugs on iphone x, some of those that i can remember: 1. tap to move not working on the girls dormitory 2. the warning sign of rewind time still appeared on screen Spoiler after you hit the fire alarm and wont disappeared until you leave the building 3. tap to move will get you stuck if you choose complicated path or tap to far and you have to change to joystick control to be able to move again. the gameplay on iPhone X: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel ill post more bugs here if i can found any. Ep 2 is .99 but cant find info on how much episode 3 is. Even if its .99 I think the unreleased ep 4 and 5 will be $3 each (same as the initial cost of the game which is 1 ep). So if ep 3 is a buck thats a savings of a buck buying individual episodes over the season pass(8.99). Buy individually or season pass, that is the question. Hambo12 Well-Known Member Jul 23, 2012 1,943 28 48 on the internet #15 Hambo12, Dec 14, 2017 looks like episode 3 is $2.99. the other 2 will prob cause the same . guess the season pass is worth it after all Ghostdog1 Well-Known Member Jan 30, 2015 318 118 43 #16 Ghostdog1, Dec 14, 2017 Does this game run on an ipad air 1? Many newer games dont support older 1Gb tablets or phones. So i need to buy myself finally a new tablet. For me this game is too pretty and good to play it on a small phone screen.
