well I dunno if there's any solution, I don't think anyone does. People who wanna do drugs will. People who sell them are taking a big risk of getting caught, jailed and basically ruining any real chance in life. But I don't see anything wrong with young people/teenagers smoking pot here and there, or experimenting as usual. Possible that sealing off the border could cut down the amount of drugs available in the U.S.. Other than that there is nothing to do. Its mostly a person's decision if they want to do drugs or not. Government isn't gonna stop em, maybe punish them if they catch em, but not stop them.
The Democrats have had the votes to pass whatever they want until Scott Brown. Even then they only need to peel 1 republican away. This excuse is old. If Obama can't get his agenda passed it's his fault. I am grateful that he is having trouble. If Obama isn't a socialist, what is he? It doesn't matter. The world financial system is about to collapse. Greece is the clarion call that redistributive systems fail. It also leads to chaos and violence. Portugal, Spain and others are also on the verge. The rest of the world will follow down the rat hole. Blame republicans all you want, they aren't the ones robbing you of your future.
Yes and we could have passed healthcare months ago if we didnt care what you had to say. We gave you a chance to be included in the bill, you gave some ideas, we incorporated them, and then you said "nevermind I'm still not supporting it." So we then proceeded to pass it with maybe one or two republican votes. (bat, i think this is the picture you were trying to find.)
But think realistically, will democrats be able to get one republican vote? The answer is cleary no. Mitch Mcconnell and other republican senators belive in voting as a party. So basically anything Obama tries to pass will be shot down by republicans unless they can compromise. Compromise is not bad but it suriously drags out the process of passing legislature so what could have taken a few weeks will take months. Republicans are trying to stall obamas pieces of legislature so when the next election comes around they can say "look he's not doing anything!" and the American public will vote them into office. Isn't this obvious to you?
The bills were stalled by republicans because they were trying to get clear answers, such as who is going to pay for all the healthcare, why will Americans be forced to get it, fined if they don't? why is it mandatory? You also forget about the fact that MOST Americans didn't want the healthcare bill to be passed at all, still don't, and the majority of the country now wants it to be repealed. You talk about republicans only voting along party lines, they are just voting for what they believe in. What most Americans believe in, the right to choose if they want healthcare or not, not a mandatory system ran by an always questionable government. Why isn't Obama focusing on the right things like creating jobs? The economy is terrible and all he can do is take vacations and try to pass forceful new laws that most Americans don't favor. So in a sense if he's not doing what the country wants and only what he wants, then he really isn't doing anything. The guy is a phony, he sits there talking about what a big Chicago White SOx fan he is but when he went on ESPN baseball and was asked who his favorite ball player was he couldn;t name not one! from any period in time! He just said "um...um..um... I actually liked the Cubs first" with a nervous voice. Total fake.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 28% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -13 (see trends). http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/healthcare/march_2010/health The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely Voters shows 63% now believe the health care reform legislation signed into law is likely to increase the federal deficit. Thats up four points from last week and up three points from when the law was passed in March. Only 12% expect the law to reduce the deficit, down four points over the past week and the lowest level measured to date. Another 16% say the law will have no impact. The percentage of voters who expect the law to increase the deficit has ranged from 57% to 63% since March. Support for repeal is proving to be just as consistent as opposition to the plan before it was passed into law. Fifty-six percent (56%) now favor repeal, including 46% who Strongly Favor it. Thirty-seven percent (37%) are opposed to repeal, with 28% Strongly Opposed. Since Congress passed the measure, support for repeal has remained in a very narrow range from a low of 54% to a high of 58%. Dave, as much as you want to say that this well known polling site is not creditable because you're a liberal, they predicted the results of the 2008 election and several other by less than a half a percentage point. I guess you'll choose the most liberal leaning polling site with the most liberal numbers and say "Hey look everyone"
1. A liberal poll on par with Rasmussen http://www.dailykos.com/weeklytrends 2. The only poll that matters is on election day. Point is that the will of the people is debatable at any given time so a President should not govern by polls.
Give me some facts please. You sound like a crazed republican now. "He's robbing you of your future!!!11!1!!" What the hell is with you guys. You seem to think that republicans can't do anything wrong and have no part in this mess. It's pathetic. Consider both sides of the argument, you even told someone else to do that before.
LMAO Here he is, that truth-telling liberal. Chi-Town's south side self proclaimed #1 longtime White Sox fan, can't even name one player on the team. Oh and check out that throw! in Slow Mo.
Elections are about choices... this was the other choice. http://crooksandliars.com/2008/03/18/mccain-doesnt-know-who-were-fighting-in-iraq
lol Um You were saying hippocrit? I didn't insult Obama, he insulted himself by acting like a know it all bigtime baseball fan and not even knowing one player on his so called favorite team when being put on the spot. On top of that he throws softer than my grandmother. Its no secret your a lib little shiz, but don't set yourself up, don't be such a hippocrit. The only one making comments like a second grader was you as quoted.
So now presidents are based on how well they do at sports. Dying sports. Imagine if FDR was elected in these time, "He can't play football! Approval rating down!!!"
