Dark Nebula 1 and 2 eh?
Well that explains why this one is so polished!

In fact, I'd say it is quite possibly the best platformer on iOS.
You guys have put soooo much love into it, so much polish, that it just shines like a diamond.

The controls are perfect and the level design is incredible (and now that you mention it, I can see a few parallels with the Dark Nebula games).

Congratulations devs, this is a new iOS masterpiece.
Easily worth the entry cost, and then some!

So if you had to decide between this and Wayward Souls, which would you spring for?

I bought both yesterday and give the advantage to Leo's Fortune.

Edit: 4 1/2 out of 5 star review

Like ColeDaddy, I also bought both.
Wayward Souls is excellent, but I find myself wanting to play Leo's Fortune instead.

I feel so bad for these guys. They're and established developer and have clearly spent a lot of time developing this game and it is definitely worth the $5 price. The presentation, charm, music, level design, controls...all top notch.

Buuuuut then they go and release the same week as Wayward Souls. Doh! :(

Last Thursday or next, this would be the hot game everybody is talking about, but instead it's being a bit forgotten.

Which is a great injustice, because this is the better game.

Thank you BoneyCork. Your comment made me smile. We've been working hard on this game since December of 2012.

    :D

The game looks fantastic! But, I have one slight concern, that I might not feel comfortable with the controls, judging from the method I saw in the video tutorial.
Can anyone tell me if there are alternative control methods?
    Thanks.

Alright, I guess I'll be picking up both! I really love the art style in this one and the level design looks spectacular.

Couldn't resist and played the first level now and i'm quite speechless. It's unbelievable how beautiful (looking)and polished this game is.Also the charming voice acting and wonderful music.Nobody, absolutely nobody should complain about the price, this is console quality. If somebody don't like to pay the asking price, fine. But just move on then to all the freemium crap out there.

The rest should get this piece or art asap :)

btw, plays very well with a (stratus in my case) controller.

Thanks for the reply. So I'm guessing there aren't tilt controls then? :(

    Hi,

    The controls we have are:
    * Touch controls which means movement on the left side of the screen and jumping / diving on the right side of the screen using swipe and drag motions.
    * Button controls which means that there are on-screen buttons on the screen for the same actions
    * Game pad controls which is the run of the mill platformer control scheme

Personally my preference is game pad > touch controls > buttons but I enjoy all three of them.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I do not have a game pad controller.
Did you try implementing tilt controls in early builds? Did it not work satisfactorily?
