i'm gonna get on my knees now for you mobile1up.....heil to the king!
no serious, i MUST have this on my iPhone (and iPad if you make it universal).
would gladly pay $$ for it but hey, free is also good!
can you pm me when it's approved mobile1up so i can grab it quickly before it get's the banhammer.

and if it's not going to be approved(hope not) i give you my iphone udid so you can send me the build as a sort of never ending beta testing.
hmmm good idea, would that actually work? does anybody knows this?

if you could PM me too, then that would be awesome.

  3. It will work, but it won't be never-ending; ad-hoc builds only work for a maximum of 1 year. Also, developers are limited to a maximum of 100 people in the provisioning file, so it would only work for up to 100 people for 1 year.

I loved lemmings. If memory serves the music was from awesome on one of the levels, and so on.

    Amiga was the king.

But I don't think I'll play it on the iPhone. Nice memories but new experiences are needed.

  5. Sacrilege! RETRO FO' LIFE!

I for one will be grabbing this the moment it hits the store.

yeah, this sucks. i am kinda loving how simple and easy the palm pre is compared to the iphone when it comes to this. i can just send a binary to a friend and they are happy - no need to do any digital signing etc.. as for lemmings? well - 32 hours in and it is almost done. will spend just as much time play testing i think. i have some small adjustments i need to make but otherwise it is ready to go. who knows how long it will stay on the store.

  7. Well, let's hope it hangs around long enough to get some decent distribution. TA will do a front page when it's released, so that will help, and I'm betting that if it lasts long enough it'll probably even hit "New & Noteworthy" or "What We're Playing" at least. One can hope, anyway. But TAers will at least get their crack at it.

it has been submitted to the application store for review!

since i'm releasing it for free - you are more than welcome to donate (via paypal) to [email protected], i can run a tally of the donations on the blog once they start coming in - it has been a great opportunity to do this and i hope everyone has found it interesting to watch, it did go by so quickly! it plays very well on the iphone/ipod touch! it even isnt' that hard to control, but definitely could use some improvement (an update?)

now i'm going to enjoy my vacation in egypt!

I love you so much. I suppose if it's pulled from the AppStore......... I have an excellent suggestion for distribution but it is against the rules to discuss it, if you know what I mean...

  11. Sweet! Now we play the waiting game. I'd give it 3-5 days -- by the end of this coming week. Looking forward to it!

    hopefully - at least i have a copy on my device(s) :p

i wanted to make it 100% sure that this is not an official version - but, the above disclaimer may actually cause apple to reject it before it even goes in.. lets see how the review process goes - never know. this could be a reason for rejection.

i am asking myself the question if i should open source the code up. it is however using my own internal cross-platform engine (which, we wont open up). what is great is that we were able to publish this on many platforms at the same time :) right now, there is a windows, macosx, palm pre and iphone versions.. i could just as easily build a linux version as well :)

It's a bit ominous that the mobile1up site has been down for the last couple of days... Could they have attracted some unwelcome attention..?

maybe it was all just a PR stunt for the engine being used to port the game to get the publishers attention and the submissions have been pulled? stranger things have happened :(

With the website down and no twitter updates it's not inconceivable that something is afoot

I don't think it was a stunt, but I do worry that Sony are crushing the project underfoot as we speak...

    It was.

And apparently he was cease and desisted...

Still don't think it was a stunt? Who ports peoples IP without permission?

If it does appear on the store now for a fee, it was a stunt, would take an act of god for it to arrive in the originally touted fashion.

I don't know if you are guessing or have proof - but way earlier in the development blog he had a timeline to finish, and then was leaving on a trip for vacation - so he is likely doing that...

  20. I would find it sort of odd if he got a C&D now, after all of these years; he's had that page up for years and already did a Palm version.

But yeah, right now he's on vacation, so it's doubtful he'll be answering 'til next week or this weekend perhaps.
