If you had an Apple II, or a Commodore 64, you probably know what Zork is. This was the first "Choose your Own Adventure" type game, ever. Well, GameStop partnered up with some guys and they made a new one that combines Epic Pet Wars-style battling with RPG elements. It's kinda fun (I just started playing), you guys should check it out if you liked EPW or RPGs. I also made a clan (you can join multiple) for members of the forums. It's called 'Members of TA' (creative, right?!).
I remember hearing about this on Chuck (the TV shows that ranges from mediocre to hysterical, while usually mediocre, and always emotional). The original Zork, that is. This looks a little to fruity, IMO.
Ah. Well, at least give it a try. I made it to the White Cliffs of Dover now, and fought a Grue. It was awesome.
Zork was the definitive IF game, and just about everything that came out of Infocom was brilliant. This thing trivializes the entire Zork legacy and turns it into a lame Flash game with only the most tenuous of connections to the original game. FAIL. GameStop should be cockpunched.
Oh, Activision killed the brand years ago with Nemesis. It was almost as if they tried to make a Myst game with the Zork name.
