I have to agree w/ TN here. I understand where the developer is coming from and why they choose to have sales, but I feel like this is kind of an insult to those that chose to support you on release day. The $1 itself isn't that important. The same goes with games that drop from $1 to free. A lot of those games I'd be happy to buy for $3 or sometimes $5, but when the developer just hands it out to the masses for nothing after I spent my money on it, I keep a mental note in the future to just wait for their games to go free.
I agree with these points, but I pretty much expect the unexpected on the AppStore nowadays. Buyer beware I guess.
I was on the fence wondering if there would be an ipad version. I bought it anyway due to the sale and am very pleased with both how well the game scales up on the ipad and how it plays. I hope the dev makes it universal at some point as the upgrade to full native ipad rez honestly won't make an awful lot of difference to the experience; just a veneer of extra beauty. The only other 'slight' problem is the loading times could do with improvement- they aren't a problem as such but take just a liitle too long. Great game! -Wish I hadn't held off
C'mon guys this is a great game you're not doing yourselves any favours bitching and moaning over a dollar, not for tis game- it's a moot point. Would any of you who have played this NOT want to see this go on and become a success? This game is the very essence of what makes ios gaming so great: polish, depth, substance and 'compellingly' fun gameplay. I have decided to cancel my 3DS pre-order today- I just can't justify giving Nintendo so much money for one game when I'm just as happy playing ios games of this calibre and can pick up a handfull of games for a tenth of the price of ONE 3DS game. Next-gen mobile console gaming HAS to mean lower game prices or I'm out. Surely Sony and Nintendo have gotta see that?? I am still on topic as this game is the straw that broke the camel's back. Kudos Legendary Wars.
Sorry Red Ribbon but you clearly have your panties in a knot. You're babbling and seem like a bitter person probably should go out and get laid. Live a little. Now I have bought -BOUGHT and paid for over 1000 apps 90% on day one. Some you win some you lose: but I was fully conscious when I hit the buy button. You're only criticising your own lack of self control and good judgement by compaining when you know it could get a fast reduction due to a measured business decision. Whatever it takes to get the game sales to take off. For us it's a roll of the dice. Crying about the past, it's all on you no-one cares. P.S. I'll compare what I damned well like when the money is coming out of my own pocket. That's my perspective and I'm entitled to it- so your arbitrary comments erecting boundaries about what I can and can't feel, or say about gaming are bullshit. I own all the consoles and have been gaming for 35 years so I know where I'm coming from.
Hey guys, We do appreciate you early adopters, were listening to your feedback. We are implementing Ai for heroes as we speak. I wanted to get your feedback about what other element of the control you find difficult or frustrating? From reviews and reading the forum it seems that lane changing up and down is difficult because you end up tapping other soldiers and the lane highlight is a bit difficult to see. (What do u think of an up/down swipe for lane changing units? The other issue is tapping gems while playing gives orders to units sometimes (this is already fixed)! And for the load times on 2nd gen devices, we have currently improved them by around 20% and still working on it! AS a note for those who changed your reviews because of a temporary sale: We do appreciate the early adopters. We would have not dropped the price unless we got featured. We have to be able to afford to keep making free updates that you guys request and in order to do that we need LW to have the highest visibility possible which means top 50 paid apps.(We are not a studio with a financial backer- just a few friends and independent developers who spent over a year making LW so we really need your help getting the word out). Thanks for understanding and your good reviews will keep your request coming. (retina, better control, monster campaign, and online). @Hanson, dude you yourself said you waited and when it went on sale you bought it, so stay out of this argument, and no one said it was about the money, it's about integrity and the fact that the dev lowered the price after 1 week was a bad move on his part. The reason being is because it tells the rest of us that SUPPORTED him, "hey guys I know the only reason I'm being featured is because of you, but f you, I'm lowering the price so more people will by my product". That just doesn't seem fair, And it means were going to wait a week or so before buying his next app, and it may not sale well because we won't support him early. Do you see what I'm trying to get at here, no one would have minded a price drop, if it was way later. Doing this now just means he doesn't care about the people that made him get featured.

In fact, meanwhile I was playing I was thinking "why cant I swipe to change lanes"? As soon you improve the gameplay and update the game to retina support (and maybe universal update too?), Legendary Wars will be in my MUST-HAVE list for this year. That's seriouss business! Haha
nothing against this dev in particular, but the price rollercoaster is a staple of the app store. pretty much why i don't bother buying anything over 0.99 (iphone) or 1.99 (ipad) immediately on release. not to mention the fact that the majority of devs never bother to say what their plans for ipad support are, and i hate buying iphone apps for the ipad due to the pixelation (although there are art styles that translate well enough that it doesn't matter). sooner or later the price drops on 99% of the apps. learn and deal with it (if you're impatient), or accept it, (have the extra cash to burn), or stfu and turn into a ghay pirate. i'll wait for the ipad support in this game before buying anything, if none ever shows up, oh well, not like there's a shortage of ipad games.
I think the solution for this issue is to place a button (maybe an arrow) for each lane avaiable on the lower left corner. Select a soldier and then depending on which lane you want to go you press your desired button. Maybe??? If you do an AI please teach the archers to stay behind to troops not in front.... its so annoying....
I bought the game the other day when it released but haven't had much time to play. I'm only on level 1-4. I know, how could I only be there but I've come across a problem. Well, I noticed above in one of the posts you mentioned that there was a bug fix for Tower Elfys. What does it fix? When I play level 1-4 it says here is a Tower Elfy, click on him to move him but I don't see anything up there. I updated it to version 1.1 as well. I'm using an iPhone 3G but that shouldn't matter. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I can not believe that people are actualy complaining about a game going on sale/free a week after it came out. You already bought it and like the game so let that be it. You wanted to support the devs and you did....period. The devs want more people to get the game and the word out about said game... Who cares? Man get over your self righteous selves. You are moaning about a sale on an iPod game for gods sake. FYI I bought the game and like it and that's all that matters. If you are talking about principals than that makes mo sense at all either. Look at it from the devs side and get over it. Man alive people must have no problems in life for this sale to matter that much to them. Beh

Hey Guys, We wanted to say we completely appreciate our fans that support us. We want this forum to be a discussion on what you would like to see improved in the game. We are currently trying to push a control revision that addresses nearly every concern you guys brought up as well as retina update this month. We realize some have you are upset by the price drop. We did this to get noticed because of the feature. The Appstore is an extremely competitive space and even with our great press reviews we have yet to even get near the top 25 since we had other great games appear the same week such as Battleheart and Devil May Cry. We noticed some have even dropped the your star rating to 1 or 3 from 4/5 based on the price drop which is disappointing considering how hard we worked on the game. So here is what we are proposing to show that we do care about our fans. If anyone is so upset that they ALREADY brought down the rating due to the price drop, we will gladly Papal you the 1 dollar back if thats whats holding you from enjoying the game. Simply PM us your info (email and name) and change your star rating to what you originally had and we will send you the dollar asap. (We ARE NOT asking for 5 star reviews simply the original star score you would have given us or did give us before the price drop). We currently recorded every star rating we received so we do see your current reviews. We really don't care about the dollar but the one star reviews that are with inaccurate complaints(half the levels are side scrolling, no way to unselect units, can't make units go forward automatically) do disappoint us since all of that is there. We want to leave this discussion behind right here and use this board for what its meant for, discussions about how we can improve the game and suggestions and feedback. So lets discuss the game! 1. Currently we have improved load times by 25%-40% ipod gen 2 for later. 2. Implemented 6 new control methods including defense backup, individual unit formations, unit ai, better lane highlights, swiping for changing lanes, and no orders given when miners are tapped and bigger lane arrow. 3. Instant input for side scrolling levels. 4. Working on Retina for the next update after next week's control update. 5. Tons of little improvements We need your support so we can take this game beyond and online and yes every one of our customers matter to us. We are looking to push the control update next week and have it available for you and retina shortly after that.
