Did you update? Remember how they told you in the armory to upgrade your essence meter! make sure you do it. It makes it a whole heck easier. Its only 200 gems. In fact you should be up to your 3rd upgrade. The light wizard special destroys everyone in its path with a lightning storm. It's pretty awesome. Hopefully you have some gems handy. Goodluck!
Had a meeting today regarding difficulty with control after reading all of your concerns. We found 3 solutions we are adding to the next RETINA update. 1. Tapping the miners will not register a command to your troops. (currently if you miss a tap it will register as a command. 2. Backup defense. If your front row is being attacked then the hero behind will come assist. 3. Formation control for individual units. You will be able to use group control for any unit you want to have them easily form up in whatever fashion you wish. (all elfys to the back, all dwarfys to the front). More suprises to come. Tip: Unlocking endless survival stage 1 is a great way to earn gems fast. The mini games can earn a lot more gems than a battle if you get good at them. We have had a tester earn 600+ gems per one round of the later endless mode. If you guys left us a review please update it. Thanks for this great reply! I appreciate when devs take the time to answer questions with this level of detail and also are open to feedback. I'm going to pick up the game pretty soon (maybe today) even though I will not play it until the retina update.

Thanks guys, were actually just a bunch of gamer friends that committed to making an iphone game that we though would be extremely fun to play. I think there is an "aha!" moment while playing the game where you just "get it". Happens to most people around Frostburn mid-snow world. Wow WTF, a price drop 6 DAYS after release. I don't care if it's a $ or not, that just seems like a low blow....
It was only a buck. Who cares. Its a great game and they were just celebrating being featured on the front of the App Store.
I care, I'm not made of money and I have to spend my iTunes credit sparingly, I wouldn't have minded if it was a month or so later, but a week, this just means I'll be very hesitant about buying their next game right off the bat, when I could wait a week or (less) and buy it.
